What even would be the point of this blog if we do not review all the latest lipstick launches? Especially now, with the hope that masks might not be necessary soon (touch wood, touch wood!), lipsticks offer the comfort of lost normalcy. Bang on time, Plum Goodness has launched a new range of Matte In Heaven Liquid Lipsticks. The Plum Liquid Lipsticks are vegan and cruelty-free, and claim to be non-drying and smudge-proof. Available in 10 different shades and retail for INR 499 per lipstick as I write this blog. So, are the Plum Liquid Lipsticks worth your money? Let’s find out!

Are Plum Liquid Lipsticks Transfer-proof and Comfortable?
The Plum Liquid Lipsticks have an opaque, matte formula that settles to a trasnferproof finish. These lipsticks are completely matte but do not feel too drying on the lips. At best they could feel slightly drying on the lips if you are not used to matte lipsticks. The formula is smudgeproof, maskproof, and can even survive a light meal, However, multiple meals and drinks through the day will make it crumble.
Another point to note is that these lipsticks are slightly tacky and your lips may stick together a bit when you purse them. However, the slight tackiness is not uncomfortable for me.
A possible con of these lipsticks is that if you press your lips together before the products sets, the lipstick moves around and becomes patchy. Same happens if you layer the product too much. So, I will recommend not pressing your lips together for 5 minutes after applying the lipstick.

Are The Liquid Lipsticks Shades Good For Indian Skin Tones?
The Plum Liquid Lipsticks come in 10 shades as of now. These range from pinks to browns to reds and a berry shade. The 5 lighter shades are more suitable for fair to medium skin tones while the darker shades are suitable across skin tones. The shade range definitely lacks unique as well as cool-toned shades, but I am hoping the brand will expand the shade range in the future. As of now, those with warm or neutral undertones should like most of the shades.

Plum Liquid Lipstick Swatches – All Shades On Medium Skin Tone
The Pros And Cons
Pros –
- Not too drying
- Fairly affordable
- Good packaging and applicator
- Transferproof and matte
Cons –
- Slightly tacky
- Lighter shades may not fully cover pigmented lips
- Crumble after meals
- Need to wait for a few minutes for the lipstick to set
My Final Verdict
If you like matte liquid lipsticks and do not mind the cons I have mentioned above, then these liquid lipsticks are worth a shot. But if any of the cons are a no-go for you then these lipsticks are skippable.
Overall, I find these lipsticks decent for the price and the packaging is good too. I prefer the 5 darker shades for my skin tone (NC35). You can try them if you have similar or deeper skin tone than me.
