Zilch Insta Bounce Super Hydration Serum | Review

Posted on January 25, 2021January 21, 2021 by Mrinalini

When it comes to skincare, I firmly believe in the less is more approach. This is why the brand Zilch stood out to me. Even the name of this Indian skincare brand suggests that it believes in simple formulations with zero unnecessary additives. To my delight, they kindly sent me the Zilch Insta Bounce Super…

BohoHerbs Skincare | Review

Posted on January 20, 2021January 15, 2021 by Mrinalini

Don’t you love a good face mask that makes the skin look brighter, rejuvenated and smooth to the touch? And when the face mask has just a bunch of skin-loving ingredients without unnecessary additives then it works like food for the skin. I recently discovered one such scrub cum mask from the brand BohoHerbs, along…

Eclat UV Hydra Lite Sunscreen | Review

Posted on January 11, 2021January 11, 2021 by Mrinalini

Is there such a thing as too many sunscreens? Not in my book! I usually prefer to wear chemical sunscreens but I know that a lot of you prefer physical sunscreens. This is why I have been testing out the Eclat UV Hydra Lite Sunscreen over the past few weeks. So, let’s jump right into…

Basic Skincare Routine For Men

Posted on January 8, 2021January 7, 2021 by Mrinalini

The irony of being a beauty blogger is that the people closest to you pay the least heed to your skincare advice! It took me 8 years to coax and cajole my husband to follow a (somewhat) daily skincare routine! He has slightly oily and fairly sensitive skin, without any acne. He only likes products…

Sapphire Botanics Strip Cleansing Balm | Review

Posted on January 4, 2021January 1, 2021 by Mrinalini

Do you know what is more satisfying than flawless makeup? Removing the makeup at the end of the day! If you agree with this statement then chances are that you own your fair share of micellar waters and cleansing oils/balms. A cleansing balm is the perfect makeup remover for those who wear a lot of…

Best Skincare And Haircare of 2020!

Posted on December 30, 2020December 30, 2020 by Mrinalini

2020 has been a rough year for most of us, be it mentally, physically or financially. It has also been a year where we have paid more attention to self-care. While most of us spent our days in pajamas with no makeup and a top-knot, we also enjoyed our haircare and skincare products. For Indians,…

2020 has been the year where I have fully discovered and experienced the power of Ayurveda. It is not just about throwing in a few herbs or spices into a concoction, it is a complete science that can give you visible results when followed properly. I would love to study Ayurveda in detail one day,…

Vaunt BBFF Moisturizer | Review

Posted on December 18, 2020December 17, 2020 by Mrinalini

If I were to be completely honest, finding the perfect moisturizer for oily skin is a bigger struggle than finding great serums. Oily, acne-prone skin needs a moisturizer that is non-greasy, that can tackle acne and can leave the skin soft and supple. The Vaunt BBFF Moisturizer is one of those rare gems that ticks…

Peau Care Clair Peau Serum | Review

Posted on December 14, 2020December 14, 2020 by Mrinalini

What does oily, acne-prone skin need? A hydrating serum that soothes the skin and tackles blemishes and breakouts! This is precisely what the Peau Care Clair Peau Serum does in one sentence! You must be aware that I already love the gel sunscreen from the brand, and when this serum was recently launched, I had…

Pure By Priyanka Aloe Vera and Cucumber Face Wash | Review

Posted on December 11, 2020January 8, 2021 by Mrinalini

We oily skinned girls truly want it all. We need a face wash that is non-drying but deep cleanses the skin. Something that soothes active acne and prevents future breakouts too. If only a face wash could also make my morning cup of coffee for me! Jokes aside though, these needs of oily, acne-prone skin…

So I recently got my hands on both the sunscreens So I recently got my hands on both the sunscreens from @reequil and lets just call them the blue one and the orange one for the sake of convenience, shall we?

The blue one has a velvety texture that has a whipped/moussey consistency in the tube. It spreads easily on the skin and offers a matte finish without any white cast. This one is a hybrid sunscreen with zinc, titanium oxide, as well as stable organic filters. Those with oily skin who prefer a matte finish will love this one and I feel this will be the perfect summer sunscreen for me.

The orange one is a slightly thick cream that is quite hydrating and blends pretty easily on the skin (doesn't leave a white cast). It settles to a dewy (but not greasy) finish on my skin. It contains stable organic/chemical filters to offer UVA and UVB protection. I can see anyone from oily to dry skin enjoying the texture of this one. If you have very oily skin then you can skip a moisturizer when using this sunscreen. I think it is the perfect winter sunscreen for me.

If you were looking for fairly affordable sunscreens that do not leave a white cast or pill then your search ends here. Choose the one whose finish you prefer more and I'm sure you will love it!

I have followed the One in One Out policy for my s I have followed the One in One Out policy for my skincare, makeup and clothes for as long as I can remember. Here are some of the skincare products that I recently emptied and what I have replaced them with -

1. Hydrating Serum - I am surprised at how quickly I emptied the @zilchway Insta Bounce Serum, it is such a fuss-free hydrating lotion that I have been reaching for it whenever my skin felt dry in December. Have now replaced it with the @suganda.co Hyaluronic Acid Serum. The Zilch serum has a more lotion-like consistency whereas the Suganda one is a gel. I like them both but feel that the former will work better from dry to moderately oily skin while the latter will suit oily to extremely oily skin more.

2. Moisturizer - I was absolutely devastated when I emptied the @vauntskincare BFFF Moisturizer. It is honestly better than any moisturizer I have tried lately and I will be restocking it soon. In the meantime, I am using the Suganda Squalane after my hydrating serum to seal the moisture in. This one is gentle, light-weight and kind to the skin barrier, which I love. Highly recommend both these products.

3. Lip Balm - The Arata Lip Balm was a savior for me in December and thanks to it my lips didn't chap like they normally do in Winters. It is one of the rare vegan lip balms with a thick and emollient consistency. Now I am using the Suganda Calendula Lip Balm which is slightly thinner but equally moisturising. Again, both the products are winners for me.

Have you tried any of these products yet?

Do you like lavender? You will LOVE the Lush Laven Do you like lavender? You will LOVE the Lush Lavender Body Butter from @herbisland.official 💜
It has an almost whipped consistency that blends beautifully on the skin. Upon spreading, it looks white and grainy initially, but once you massage it well, it has an invisible finish. It makes my skin super soft without being greasy and has the heavenly scent of lavender. Not only does it moisturize my skin really well, it's beautiful scent makes me sleep better too! Highly recommend this gem!!!

Also, this highlighter is so pretty that it looks stunning anyway. A beautiful gold that blends to give a wet, shimmery sheen on the skin. Have you tried it yet?

Have been trying the @suganda.co Hyaluronic Acid S Have been trying the @suganda.co Hyaluronic Acid Serum for a week now and have formed my first impressions of the product. Here is everything what I want to tell you about this product -

✨ I love the fact that the Ingredient list is short and simple. It contains hydrating ingredients in the form of hyaluronic acid and panthenol, along with soothing ingredients in the form of centell and colloidal oatmeal. Apart from this, there aren't many other ingredients except the necessary preservatives.

✨ I love that the product doesn't claim to do multiple things. It is supposed to be hydrating and soothing and it fares well on both these accounts.

✨ I also love that the product doesn't feel heavy on my skin. It blends in quickly (foams a little in the beginning, probably due to the oatmeal but then settles to an invisible finish. It leaves the skin soft and hydrated but you don't really feel the product sitting on your skin.

✨ It doesn't contain fragrance and doesn't even have a noticeable natural scent. This along with the fuss-free ingredient list makes it perfect for sensitive skin.

Overall, if you are in the market for a hydrating serum with no frills attached you can definitely pick this one. I love to sandwich it between a mist and an oil (my moisture sandwich if I may call it so!!)
