The Formula Of The Plum Niacinamide Serum
The Plum Rice Water and Niacinamide Serum is a 10% Niacinamide Serum that also contains brightening rice extracts, moisturizing Squalane and soothing Vitamin E. The rest of the ingredients are mostly humectants and emollients.
The serum has a milky white colour and an emulsion consistency that feels very hydrating on the skin. Plus, it is fragrance and essential oil free. Due to the presence of Niacinamide along with the other ingredients, the serum claims to target dark spots, acne, and hyperpigmentation while soothing and hydrating the skin. It also promises to strengthen the skin barrier while calming the skin, thereby being suitable for all skin types.

Which Skin Types Is The Plum Niacinamide Serum Suitable For?
The Plum Niacinamide Serum has an emulsion consistency and feels pretty moisturizing on the skin. It can therefore be used by dry to normal skin for sure. Plus, being alcohol, essential oil and fragrance-free, it is suitable for sensitive skin too (patch test recommended). Even oily skin will enjoy this product because it is non-greasy, but you may want to avoid using a rich moisturizer after this serum. I have oily skin and find this serum moisturizing enough for the day time. So, when I use it, I skip moisturizer and directly apply my sunscreen on top.
How To Use The Plum Niacinamide Serum?
You can use the Plum Niacinamide Serum after cleansing and toning your face. After this, follow up with a moisturizer as per your skin type. If you plan to layer this serum with other actives, you must do a patch test first, although Niacinamide pairs well with most other ingredients.

My Experience With The Plum Rice Water And Niacinamide Serum
I have been using the Plum Niacinamide Serum in my morning skincare routine for almost a month now. I use it on top of a Vitamin C serum. So, the order of my morning skincare is Cleansing -> Toning – > Vitamin C -> Plum Niacinamide Serum -> Sunscreen. Since my sunscreen has a dewy finish and this serum is quite hydrating too, I skip a moisturizer while using it.
The first thing that impressed me about this serum is how gentle and soothing it is despite containing 10% Niacinamide. Usually high percentages of Niacinamide irritate my skin slightly, leading to bumps on my forehead. Hence, I prefer to buffer them and use them on alternate days. But with the Plum Niacinamide Serum, I did not face any such irritation or breakouts even though I use it unbuffered every single day.
From the very first use, I could see that this serum does moisturize the skin well and leaves it calm. After a few days, I could notice a glow on my face, and after a couple of weeks, I could see my acne reducing and my blemishes fading. What more can you ask for from a Niacinamide serum? I have to say that it satisfied me completely and even exceeded my expectations. I genuinely feel that it is one of the best niacinamide serums in India.

Is The Plum Niacinamide Serum Good And Worth Your Money?
As you can probably tell already, I am highly impressed with the Plum Niacinamide Serum and can see it working for all skin types. Pls advice if this niacinamide serum has to be applied on damp or dry skin
Either is ok. Slightly damp would offer more hydration.
