They say that it is the era of glossy and dewy makeup. And while we all love our lip glosses, I have to admit that a long-wearing liquid lipstick holds a special place in my heart. Sure, they can be a tad uncomfortable or drying, but if you find the right formula and prep your lips well, they completely eliminate the need for reapplication or touch-ups on a busy day! Perhaps listening to my emotion, Nykaa Beauty has launched their new Matte Tattoo Liquid Lipsticks. The brand kindly sent me 5 different shades of these new Nykaa lipsticks to try out, and here is what I think of them!
Nykaa Matte Tattoo Liquid Lipsticks Shade Range
The Nykaa Matte Tattoo Liquid Lipsticks currently comes in 10 shades that are a mix of pinks, reds and nudes. Nothing too out of the box in my opinion, but all the classic shades are included. I think the brand is first experimenting with this range and if it is a hit then they might release more shades. Out of the current shades, I can see Rose (a warm brown with red undertones) being the top-seller.
Is The Formula Of The Nykaa Matte Tattoo Liquid Lipsticks Comfortable and Long-Lasting?
Finish – Looks velvety in the tube but is not moussey on the lips, settles to a true matte finish like a liquid lipstick. It feels quite sticky when you press your lips together, even a while after application.
Longevity – Quite long wearing and can only be removed fully by oily food or oil-based makeup remover once they set. However, it is not completely transfer-proof and transfers a little upon contact.
Comfort – I would say that these liquid lipsticks are a less drying cousin of the Maybelline Matte Ink Liquid Lipsticks. They have a similar stickiness and those who love completely weightless and non-drying formulas may not like these.

Are The Nykaa Liquid Lipsticks Worth The Price?
I think these Nykaa liquid lipsticks are priced a little steep at INR 899. There are similar liquid lipsticks in the market that retail for a lower price, so I will recommend waiting for a discount!
