After almost two months of lockdown, some of you must be missing the salon due to the condition of your hair at the moment. I can especially feel the pain of those of you with fine and frizzy hair like me, because we need frequent hair spas to keep our hair smooth and frizz-free. While stepping out for a hair appointment is something we may not be able to indulge in for several months to come, today I will be talking about my haircare routine for frizzy hair that comes quite close to providing the”just out of the salon” look to my hair.
1. Vilvah Nourishing Hair Mask
The Vilvah Nourishing Hair Mask is a pre-shampoo hair mask with a bunch of nourishing oils. I apply this an hour before I shampoo my hair to both my hair as well as my scalp. A little goes a long way with this product and it helps to make my hair softer, smoother and shinier after each wash. Click here to read my full review of this product.
2. The Body Shop Fuji Green Tea Shampoo
I am currently using The Body Shop Fuji Green Tea Shampoo for cleansing my hair and scalp. This product cleanses the scalp thoroughly and adds volume to my hair at the roots which I really need thanks to how fine my hair is. It can be a little drying on its own, but due to the pre and post shampoo masks that I use, it does not leave my hair feeling dry or rough at all. Click here to read my full review of this product.
3. Coccoon Nourishing Hair Mask
For the next step, I have been using the Coccoon Nourishing Hair Mask As a conditioner and mask combined in one. This product leaves my hair really soft and frizz-free until the next wash and I love that I do not have to leave it on my hair for too long. This gigantic tub will last you a long time and will give you excellent value for your money. Click here to read my full review!
4. Schwarzkopf Gliss Hair Repair Spray
On the days when I am going to heat style or blow dry my hair or simply need a slight slip to my hair without weighing them down with a serum, I use the Schwarzkopf Gliss Hair Repair Spray. This spray not only offers heat protection but also hydrates the hair to some extent and helps to detangle them too while being very light-weight.
5. Arganic Moroccan Argan Hair Serum
Argan oil is an ingredient that works really well for my hair and I love to incorporate products containing Argan in my haircare routine as much as possible. This is why my choice of hair serum at the moment is the Arganic 100% Organic Moroccan Argan Hair Serum. This is a fairly light-weight serum that smoothes and detangles the hair while adding a bit of shine. I use it on my mid-lengths to tips because my roots tend to get too oily if I apply any serum near them. Click here to read my full review of this serum.
So that was the gist of my haircare routine for frizzy hair which has been working quite well for me at the moment. These 5 steps leave me with hair that is soft, shiny, and super smooth to the touch. Do let me know if you try this routine and how it fares for you in the comments below!
