The Body Shop Fuji Green Tea Refreshingly Purifying Shampoo | Review

Posted on February 6, 2019February 27, 2019 by Mrinalini

I had been hearing a lot of good reviews about the The Body Shop Fuji Green Tea range ever since it launched it India. When I saw Krupa from ishtyleawhile.com talk about their shampoo then I decided to finally pick one up for myself. Here is how The Body Shop Fuji Green Tea Refreshingly Purifying Shampoo worked for my fine hair with greasy roots.

As my regular readers will know already, I have very fine hair with greasy roots, so I look for something that will remove the oil from the scalp and also get rid of all the build up from the dry shampoo that I live on. This shampoo claims to purify and refresh the scalp with the goodness of green tea and honey, and I was sold because it sounded like it would give my scalp the thorough cleanse that it needs. Once the shampoo arrived, I wasn’t dissapointed at all! The shampoo has the lovely rejuvenating scent of green tea and a clear gel-like consistency. It lathers really well and you need very little product for one wash. The lather gets rid of product buildup and grease with extreme ease and leaves the scalp feeling squeaky clean.

What I also love is that the product provides a bounce to my hair and adds some much needed volume at my roots without making them look frizzy. It somehow manages to make my hair look voluminous and soft at the same time, which is quite rare because most volumizing shampoos dry my hair out. My hair feels smooth to the touch and more vivacious than usual. As an added bonus, the shampoo is free of silicones, but it does contain SLS, which I personally do not mind.

Overall, there is nothing I do not like about this shampoo, from its sturdy green packaging with a flip lid to its refreshing scent and cleansing action, I am a fan of everything. It is priced at INR 945 for a 400ml bottle, but the brand is usually running some discount or the other where you can grab this at a cheaper price. If you are someone with an oily to normal scalp then this product will work wonders for you but if you have a dry scalp then this shampoo could be a little drying. Personally, I love the bounce and volume it provides to my hair and will surely be repurchasing this lovely shampoo and trying out the other products from the Fuji Green Tea range super soon!
