Earth Rhythm is a skincare and haircare brand that has been around for several years. Formerly known as Soapworks India, the brand started out with soaps and shampoo bars, I believe, but have since rebranded and expanded their product range. I had not tried their products until recently because I had heard that there were some issues with their packaging and the stability of certain products. However, the brand recently revamped all their packaging and reformulated a lot of their products, which peeked my curiosity. I went ahead and bought some of the most raved about products from the brand and here are my thoughts.

1. Earth Rhythm Hybrid Sun Fluid – SPF 50
Starting with my favourite product from the brand, the Earth Rhythm Hybrid Sun Fluid with SPF 50 and PA++++. This is a beautiful sunscreen with both physical and chemical filters to protect against UVA and UVB rays. It has a creamy lotion consistency that blends easily on the skin without any white cast or pilling. The sunscreen imparts a dewy finish to the skin and should not feel heavy or greasy unless you have very oily skin. It is best suited for dry to slightly oily skin and might be a little heavy for high-humidity areas.
The packaging is a slightly bulky orange glass bottle which looks cute but may not be travel-friendly (not that we are travelling anywhere right now). The pump is convenient to use, but you may have to dig out the product for the last couple of uses, as is the case with most lotion pumps.
As for the full ingredient list, the brand has done a great job at mentioning all the ingredients, as well as SPF testing data and other details of the formula on their website. Do check out their product pages for all the information on the product.
My final verdict on the Earth Rhythm Sun Fluid – 5/5, Will Repurchase

2. Earth Rhythm Water Gel Energizing Gel Cleanser
The Earth Rhythm Water Gel is a much-loved SLS-free face wash from the brand. This supremely gentle cleanser contains aloe, sea salt and glycerin, along with mild surfactants. It is a clear gel that lathers ever so slightly on the skin. It removes oil and dirt without leaving the skin dry and in fact has a mild plumping effect on the skin. Those with dry or sensitive skin will love this cleanser because of how gentle it is. For my oily skin, it is a little TOO gentle for humid monsoons but I am sure that I will enjoy it more in Winters.
In terms of packaging, it is a clear glass bottle with a pump that displays the beautiful bubbly texture of the gel. The packaging is beautiful but again a little heavy for travelling.
My final verdict on the Earth Rhythm Water Gel Cleanser – 3.5/5, Will Repurchase In Winter (Still love my Simple Face Wash more, hence the deduction in rating)

3. Earth Rhythm Phyto Clear Oil-Free Moisturizer
Another one of my favourites from the brand is the Earth Rhythm Phyto Clear Oil-Free Moisturizer. This is a soothing and light-weight moisturizer meant for oily and acne-prone skin. What attracted me towards this product is the presence of Centella Asiatica, a soothing and healing ingredient for inflamed skin. It also contains plant-based antioxidants such as horsetail extracts, and humectants such as glycerin. This fragrance-free moisturizer has a light-weight lotion consistency that blends quickly on the skin and settles to a slightly dewy finish. It feels soothing and hydrating on the skin and should not be heavy for you unless you have VERY oily skin.
Again, comes in a green glass bottle with a pump. May need to dig out the product for the last couple of uses.
My final verdict on the Earth Rhythm Phyto Clear Oil-Free Moisturizer – 5/5, Will Repurchase

4. Earth Rhythm Lip Masque
I am a huge fan of the Laneige Lip Mask and wanted to try the Earth Rhythm Lip Masque to compare the two. Long story short is that I like both the products but they are very different in consistency. The Laneige lip mask has more of a vaseline consistency whereas the Earth Rhythm Lip Masque melts to a lip oil consistency on the lips. It contains a blend of plant oils and waxes and I feel it quite moisturizing and softening on my lips in the present humid weather. Will have to test it out in winters to know how well it fares in the cold on chapped lips. The internet seems to be polarized on this one and many swear by it while others didn’t find it impressive.
Personally, I really like this product and love its mild berry scent too. The tube packaging is quite cute and futuristic as well. I like applying this product twice a day and my lips stay soft and hydrated all along.
My final verdict on the Earth Rhythm Lip Masque – 4.5/5, Will Repurchase

5. Earth Rhythm Matcha Green Tea Cleansing Balm
We all have high expectations from cleansing balms, and from what I have heard, the earlier version of the Earth Rhythm Matcha Green Tea Cleansing balm emulsified well but badly stung the eyes. This reformulated one does not sting the eyes at all unless you use way too much product on your lashes, but it barely emulsifies. You need to use warm water and a wash cloth to get all your makeup off with the product and I will recommend a second cleanse afterwards. Also, since the brand has gone fragrance-free, the balm has quite a waxy scent which some may not like.
So basically, you will not like this cleansing balm if you want an emulsifying one that is easy to remove. You can make it work if you have the time and patience for it though.
My final verdict on the Earth Rhythm Cleansing Balm – 2.5/5, Will Not Repurchase
Earth Rhythm Cleansing Balm Demo:
I hope that you liked this brief review of all the products I have tried from Earth Rhythm so far. They do have quite a few hits even though there are a few misses too. Personally, I will be repurchasing most of the products I mentioned here and would love to explore more products from their range in the future. If there are any particular products from the brand that you want me to try, let me know in the comments!
Hi Mrinalini, Thanks for the nice review. I tried Earth rhythm hydrid sunscreen spf 50 and its a very good sunscreen with no whitecast and I liked it. I want to try their new butter body lotion with spf 50. can you please review that.
Hey Prashanthi, sure will try to review it soon. Haven’t tried it yet.
