The skin under our eyes is one of the most delicate parts of our face and gets impacted the most by stress, dehydration, pollution and lack of sleep, to name a few of the ill-effects of the millenial lifestyle. Today I have curated a list of the 5 Best Eye Creams in India that can help add back the hydration to the under eye region, reducing puffiness, tiredness, and dark circles (to some extent). Read on to find out more about my favourite eye creams of 2019!
1. Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment
This eye cream from Kiehl’s costs an arm and a leg but is truly effective at combating extreme dryness under the eyes. If you are someone whose under eye area feels stretchy on most days then all you need is a few dots of this cream twice a day. The formula is deliciously creamy but not thick or heavy. It costs a whopping INR 2500 for a 14gm jar but this jar saved me when no other product could! Click here to read my full review. Click here to buy!
2. MamaEarth Under Eye Cream
If the price of the Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment has left you sweating, worry not! I have a super affordable dupe for you from a homegrown brand. The MamaEarth Under Eye Cream is extremely similar in consistency, smell and efficacy to the Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment and costs only INR 599 for a 50ml bottle. This is the picture of their older packaging and the cream now comes in a pump, but you can see here how creamy and nourishing it is. Click here to read my full review. Click here to buy!
3. Dr. Sheth’s Date And Quinoa Under Eye Cream
While the previous two eye creams are creamy but light-weight, the Dr. Sheth’s Date and Quinoa Under Eye Cream is thicker and richer. I will recommend it as a nighttime eye cream for those of you who suffer from severely dry skin under your eyes. It also helps to brighten the under eye area with daily use. Priced at INR 899 for 14gms of product. Click here to read my full review. Click here to buy.
4. Vya Naturals Caffeine Eye Cream
The Vya Naturals Caffeine Eye Cream is a very light-weight cream that sinks into the skin within seconds but still manages to hydrate it well. It reduces fine lines and puffiness with daily use. This eye cream is most suitable for those who have mild dryness under their eyes and have puffiness as their primary concern. I also love the beautiful bottle (with a pump) that this product comes in. It is priced at INR 750 for 30 ml of product. Click here to read my full review. Click here to buy.
5. The Ordinary Caffeine Solution
The Ordinary Caffeine Solution is one of my recent finds and has been working really well for my fine lines as well as dark circles. This is a gel-based serum that provides moderate hydration and brightens the under eye area within a few weeks of use. It is not available in Indian stores but you can buy it from Cult Beauty or Instagram resellers. A 30ml bottle is priced at ~INR 800. Click here to read my full review. Click here to buy!
Another thing that I love about all these eye creams is that they are suitable for those with sensitive eyes as they do not cause any burning or irritation even if you accidentally bring the product too close to your waterline. Also, a note on dark circles, while most of these eye creams will brighten your under eye area to some extent with regular use, nothing will magically remove your dark circles unless you rectify the root cause – which could be lack of a balanced diet, not enough sleep, or insufficient water intake. Unfortunately, if dark circles run in your family, then this genetic trait cannot be overcome by any eye cream, but otherwise, the combination of a healthy lifestyle and a religious use of these eye creams will definitely help in reducing the dark circles.
Hope you found my list of the 5 best eye creams in India useful. Let me know if you try any of them and how they fare for you!
