As I mentioned in my earlier review of Maybelline Skin Tint, it is the year of tinted skincare! And another tinted product that has created much buzz this season is the new Reequil Sun CC Cream! If memory serves me right, Reequil was one of the first brands to bring high-quality sunscreens to India before all the mainstream brands jumped on the bandwagon. Reequil sunscreens still continue to be trusted and loved by many! So, it makes complete sense for the brand to come out with CC creams with SPF 50! So, is the new Reequil Sun CC Cream good? Can it replace your everyday sunscreen? Let’s find out!

Is The Formula of Reequil Sun CC Cream Good?
Texture and Blendability
The Reequil Sun CC Cream has a thin lotion texture that is neither runny nor creamy. It is a lightweight lotion that blends into the skin beautifully without any pilling or heaviness. It settles to a demi matte skin-like finish on my skin with a very light coverage that can only even out slight redness but cannot cover blemishes. The tint ensures that this CC cream does not have any white cast despite having only mineral filters. The cc cream does not feel particularly hydrating but is also not oily or greasy.
Ingredients
The Reequil Sun CC Cream contains mineral sunscreen filters such as Zinc Oxide and Titanium dioxide. It also contains hydrating ingredients like Glycerin and is fragrance-free.
Sun Protection and Longevity
Reequil Sun CC cream contains SPF 50 and PA++++ and offers good sun protection when you use an adequate amount of the product. It claims to be transfer and water resistant and I will give it an 8/10 for both these claims as it does transfer slightly and also turns water very slightly milky but still manages to hold on to the skin under both circumstances. However, the demi matte finish only lasts a few hours on my face and the product turns shiny and moves into my creases after a few hours. So, those with oily skin may need to powder it to retain its matte finish and even coverage throughout the day.

Shades Of Reequil Sun CC Cream
Reequil CC Cream shades are the biggest disappointment about this product for me. The cream currently comes in 4 shades, most of which seem to have warm/orange undertones. They may suit a wider range of people due to the sheer coverage but the shade range is certainly not suitable for deeper or olive skin tones.

How To Use Reequil CC Cream?
The biggest question about the Reequil Sun CC Cream is how to use it. Is it a standalone sunscreen or is it something you apply on top of a sunscreen? I personally prefer to apply it on top of my usual sunscreen after a few minutes. However, if I do take two fingers of the product for my face, which is supposed to be enough for standalone sun protection, it still does not feel heavy or look weird on my face.
My advice would be to dot it on top of your usual sunscreen unless you don’t mind applying 3 fingers worth of product on your face and neck.
Reequil Sheer Zinc Tinted Sunscreen vs. Reequil Sun CC Cream
Reequil sheer zinc tinted sunscreen has a matte, siliconey finish and comes in only one shade. On the other hand, Reequil CC cream comes in 4 shades and has a more elegant, skin-like demi matte finish. Moreover, the CC cream is more lightweight than the tinted sunscreen and is more transfer resistant too. I prefer the CC cream over the tinted sunscreen for sure.

My Final Verdict On Reequil CC Cream
To summarize the pros and cons of Reequil Sun CC Cream as per me –
Pros | Cons |
– Lightweight and skin-like finish | – Only 4 shades |
– Only mineral filters that some may prefer instead of chemical filters | – Becomes shiny after a few hours on oily skin |
– Fragrance free | – You will need to use an ample quantity to get the mentioned sun protection |
– No white cast or pilling, easy to blend | – Does not offer enough coverage to hide blemishes |
– Fairly transfer and water resistant |
Overall, I give the Reequil Sun CC Cream an 8/10. Is it the best CC cream in India for me? No! But it is a decent cc cream with added sun protection which will work for those who do not prefer high coverage products.
