Minimal base makeup is in this season, which is why the Maybelline Fit Me Fresh Tint is the talk of the town. This 2-in-1 Maybelline skin tint claims to offer light coverage, the benefits of Vitamin C, and sun protection with SPF 50. It comes in 6 shades at the moment and I have picked up shade 06 for my NC35 skin tone. Here are my thoughts on the product after testing out for 3 weeks.
Maybelline Skin Tint Feel and Finish
The Maybelline skin tint is creamy but light-weight and basically feels like nothing when blended out on the skin. It is a good texture for an everyday skin tint meant for a light base. The final finish on the skin is demi-matte, with a slight glow. I feel that the finish is best suited for oily skin and dry skin may find it a little uncomfortable as the day progresses.
Coverage and Blendability
True to its name, the Maybelline Fit Me Fresh Tint offers a light to medium coverage to the skin that can hide redness and light blemishes. I like to blend it with my fingers for slightly higher coverage. It blends quite easily this way without pilling or uneven coverage.

Ingredients And Sun Protection
The Maybelline Fit Me Fresh Tint claims to be a 2-in-1 skincare + makeup product. Here are some points to note about the ingredients though –
- Contains Ascorbyl Glucoside, a stable derivative of Vitamin C that can help with skin brightening.
- Contains Tocopherol (Vitamin E), a soothing antioxidant for the skin.
- Contains SPF 50, but PA rating is not mentioned, so not sure how much it will protect against UVA rays. Prominent filters Homosalate, Ethylhexyl Salicylate, Octocrylene are also more suited for UVB protection.
Overall, the ingredients are quite good for the price, but I personally don’t consider this tint as a replacement for skincare. Instead, I prefer to use it on top of my serums and sunscreen rather than as a standalone product. However, on a one-of lazy day, it can work as a one and done product.

Maybelline Fit Me Fresh Tint Skin Tint Demo On Indian Skin – Medium (NC35)
The Maybelline Fit Me Fresh Tint currently comes in 6 shades in India, which I feel is a narrow shade range given our diverse skin tones. I hope that the brand launches more shades in the coming months. Here is a demo of the Maybelline Skin Tint in the shade 06 on my NC35 skin tone.
Longevity
I feel that this is the department where this product disappoints a bit. As you can see in the demo, it transfers a little and I have also noticed that the coverage does not last for more than 3-4 hours. So, it is suitable for short outdoor runs or outings but not for those who want their base to last all day.
Price
Priced at INR 399, it is quite affordable, and I am sure there will soon be many good discounts on the product.
Overall, I give this tint 3.75/5, with the main issue being longevity and the scope for more shades to suit a larger set of skin tones.
