With new Indian skincare brands mushrooming left and center, it is but justified for consumers to wonder how good they truly are. WishCare is one such brand that has created a lot of buzz within months of launching its first product. It is an Indian skin and haircare brand with a wide variety of offerings, and Indian skinfluencers are raving about it. Being an affiliate of the brand, I have received almost all their products to try, although this post is not sponsored in any which way. So, I am here today with my review of every product from WishCare that I have tried so far. Are WishCare products safe? Is WishCare a good brand? Here’s what I think!

1. WishCare Invisible Gel Sunscreen
WishCare Invisible Gel Sunscreen is the product that had the skincare world confused when it first launched. While the first batch had a lot of fragrance, the second was a tad too sticky for some people. However, kudos to the brand for taking all the feedback and reformulating this sunscreen. The current batch of the sunscreen as of December 2022 has an extremely elegant, non-sticky formula. It blends like a dream on the skin with zero pilling or white cast, feels moisturizing without being greasy, and leaves behind a flattering dewy finish. At 550 per tube and further discounts during the brand’s frequent sales, this sunscreen is one of the best sunscreens in India for dry, normal, and slightly oily skin types.

2. WishCare Fermented Rice Water Shampoo & Conditioner
When it comes to haircare, I am quite hard to please, but the WishCare Fermented Rice Water Shampoo & Conditioner impressed me and how! These are sulphate-free products that claim to strengthen the hair and encourage hair growth. The shampoo feels extremely gentle and I was initially worried that it may not be enough for my oily scalp. However, it gets the job done pretty well and left my hair way more voluminous than usual. Even the conditioner from this range is quite impressive as it softens and detangles the hair really well.
The combination works pretty great for my fine hair with oily roots. Plus, I did notice less breakage than usual when I used this duo and can’t wait to try out the hair mask from this range as well. If you have a similar hair and scalp type as me then I think you will like this combo. At 599 each, these haircare products are fairly affordable too!

3. WishCare AHA + BHA Body Lotion
WishCare AHA + BHA Body Lotion is yet another great product from the brand. With 10% AHA and 1% Salicylic Acid in a moisturizing formula, this body lotion keeps bumps and rough skin at bay. It takes a minute to blend into the skin, after which it leaves it soft, supple, and moisturized without feeling greasy. At 499 for a 200ml bottle with a pump, this lotion delivers a bang for your buck.

4. WishCare Sunscreen Body Lotion
Finally we have a sunscreen body lotion from an Indian brand that offers enough protection without being greasy or uncomfortable on the skin! The WishCare Sunscreen Body Lotion has SPF 50 along with nourishing ingredients like Ceramides. It takes a little while to sink into the skin, but once fully absorbed, it settles to an invisible matte finish that is extremely comfortable. If you are about to head out for a sunny vacation, this sunscreen body lotion is a must have. At 499 for 200 ml, you can’t go wrong with it.

5. WishCare Pro Collagen Retinol Serum
The WishCare Pro Collagen Retinol Serum is a potent formulation with 2% Granactive Retinoid, Niacinamide and Bakuchiol in a hydrating and moisturizing base. It has a milky emulsion consistency that feels quite nourishing on the skin, which is great as retinoids can often be a little drying. This retinol serum made a noticeable difference to the fine lines on my neck within a few weeks. At 699 for 30ml, it is one of the best anti-aging retinol serums in India that keeps fine lines and wrinkles at bay.

6. WishCare Pure Glow Face Serum
The WishCare Vitamin C+ Pure Glow Face Serum is the product that had people wondering whether WishCare products are safe. This is because the brand markets this serum as 35% Vitamin C and the product also contains Retinol. While it is commonly believed that 20% Vitamin C is enough for the skin and a higher potency is not needed, do note that this serum contains 20% Ethyl Ascorbic Acid, and the rest of the concentration of Vitamin C is derived from natural extracts. Also the retinol percentage is quite low (0.05%) and similar formulations are present in international brands.
At the end of the day, it is the stability of the formula that matters, and this serum is quite stable and also has a visible plumping and brightening effect on the skin. At 699 for 30ml, it is quite a great deal given the multi-active formula. However, I will recommend beginners and those with sensitive skin to avoid this due to the high potency of the serum.

7. WishCare Pure Glow Face Toner
The WishCare Pure Glow Face Toner contains 5% Fruit AHA along with Niacinamide, Hyaluronic Acid, Witch Hazel and Green Tea. It is a brightening toner that also reduces the appearance of pores. Not only is it great for the face, but it is also great for the body, if you are looking for something that reduces bumps and ingrown hair. However, it may not suit those with sensitive skin as it contains Witch Hazel and other potentially irritating natural extracts. It worked really well on my skin though and gave it a luminous glow. Plus, it is super affordable at INR 399 for 200 ml.

8. WishCare Salicylic Acid Face Wash
Ending this post with my absolute favourite from the brand, the WishCare Salicylic Acid Face Wash. This 2% Salicylic Acid cleanser also contains AHA, Tea Tree, and Green Tea, and yet is surprisingly gentle and non-drying on the skin while producing the right amount of lather. This one is an absolute must have for oily and acne-prone skin. It helps to heal existing acne and prevents breakouts too. Can’t recommend it enough! At 399 for 100ml, this cleanser is an absolute boon for those with acne-prone skin.
Conclusion
Is WishCare a good brand? In my opinion, yes! It is affordable, has well thought out formulations, and has given me visible results as per the claims. Therefore, you can definitely try out their products if you are in the market for some affordable yet effective formulations.

Hi love… these all good reviews without any negative remark, even a missing improvement remark makes it dreamy but little unbelievable brand… it would have been great if you have given any scope dor improvement also.
Hi, I had a largely positive experience with the products, which has reflected in this blog post too. However, I have mentioned cons such as the sunscreen body lotion taking a while to blend, and the toner containing witchhazel, which is a potential irritant for many. I have also mentioned that the first few batches of the face sunscreen had issues. If I haven’t mentioned many cons it is because I couldn’t find many faults with the product 🙂
Hi, Looks like there is no moisturizer. Do we really need a moisturizer or after cleansing the face we can use a serum and then sunscreen
Hi, if you have oily skin then serum + sunscreen can suffice. If you have dry skin then you will need a moisturizer as well
