The world of skincare is ever evolving and we learn something new every day as we explore it. For the longest time, most of us used to believe that the best face wash for oily skin is one that creates a lot of foam and leaves the skin completely oil-free. Now, we all are wiser and know that a face wash should be gentle and should not strip the skin dry. This is why gentle face washes are all the rage these days. The latest face wash to hit the block with the claims of being gentle and refreshing is the Kaya Youth Hydro Replenish Face Wash. Today, I will be reviewing this product for all of you!

The Formula
The Kaya Youth Hydro Replenish Face Wash claims to hydrate the skin and make it soft and glowy. It comes in the form of a clear gel with green beads embedded in it. From the ingredient list, it seems that the beads are made of cellulose and are designed to exfoliate the skin.
The key ingredient of the formula is aloe vera, which features on top of the ingredient list after water, which is good because a lot of brands only add a small percentage of the key ingredient to the product. The surfactant in this face wash is Sodium Lauryl Sarcosinate, which is a mild surfactant that does not dry out or irritate the skin like SLS. Other than this, the face wash also contains a number of skin brightening and anti-aging ingredients, such as Niacinamide and Betaine. The product also contains perfume and has a very strong floral scent.
The face wash is available in 50gm and 100gm tubes. A 100gm tube of the face wash costs INR 199.

My Experience With The Kaya Youth Hydro Replenish Face Wash
I am always on the lookout for a gentle gel-based face wash, which is why I was drawn to the Kaya Youth Hydro Replenish Face Wash as soon as it was launched. The gel based formula of this cleanser is indeed quite gentle and manages to clean the skin well without stripping it dry. The cleanser produces a gentle but rich lather that leaves my skin soft and glowy. However, I am personally not a fan of the cellulose beads added in the face wash. My problem with the beads is that they are quite hard and do not dissolve when massaged on the skin. This is why I find them a little too harsh. I am someone who stopped liking physical exfoliants a while back, so perhaps those who don’t mind physical scrubs won’t have much of a problem with the beads.
The other issue with the face wash is the overwhelmingly strong floral scent. I personally do not mind a little bit of fragrance in my skincare but the scent here is quite strong and can easily give a migraine to some.

My Verdict On The Kaya Youth Hydro Replenish Face Wash
Overall, the Kaya Youth Hydro Replenish Face Wash would have been perfect for me if it did not contain the beads and such a strong fragrance. I won’t recommend this face wash to those with sensitive skin because of these two reasons as well. The gel-based formula in itself is pretty nice and cleanses the skin well while leaving it soft, hydrated and glowy. Also, I was quite impressed with the ingredient list which was full of quality ingredients despite the product being so affordable. I will finish up the tube that I have by removing the beads from the gel but I do not think that I will be repurchasing this product.
I do wish that the brand brings out the same gel cleanser without the beads for those with sensitive skin. Until then, only those of you who don’t mind physical exfoliants and a strong fragrance in their skincare might like this product. I will personally stick with my Luxurious Adore Blue Tansy Face Wash whenever my skin wants a gel-based cleanser.
