While most of the world runs after hair masks and conditioners, we girls with oily scalps understand the true value of a good shampoo. Just any shampoo does not do the job for us, because we do not want our roots to look greasy just one day after a wash. However, we do not want the lengths to look dry or frizzy either, which is what makes choosing a shampoo quite tricky for us. I recently started using the Vedantika Herbals Lemongrass Shampoo and feel that this ticks all the right boxes for my hair type. Read on to find out my detailed thoughts on this product!
The Packaging
The Vedantika Herbals Lemongrass Shampoo comes in a clear plastic bottle without a pump. I wish that the product came with a pump which would make it more user-friendly and suitable for travel as well. Other than that, the packaging is pretty minimalistic and sturdy, and the best part is that I can easily reuse it to store any liquid or lotion.
The Formula
The Vedantika Herbals Lemongrass Shampoo has a gel consistency and a mild citrusy scent. The formula contains a bunch of great ingredients to boost your scalp health, such as lemongrass, shikhakai, and aloe. It also contains soap nut and therefore produces a fair amount of lather which helps to cleanse the scalp thoroughly without leaving it dry or itchy. Despite being a powerful cleanser, it does not leave the hair looking dull or rough, and in fact, makes them look healthy and shiny.
My Experience with the Vedantika Herbals Lemongrass Shampoo
I am someone who has a lot of product buildup at her roots because of all the dry shampoo that I use on a regular basis, and I am happy to report that the Vedantika Herbals Lemongrass Shampoo is able to get rid of all the product buildup in one rinse. It leaves my scalp feeling fresh and clean and has curbed the itchiness that I experience otherwise from time to time. It also leaves the lengths of my hair looking healthy and smooth, but since I have really fine hair, I cannot get away without a conditioner or hair mask afterwards because my hair tends to get tangled and frizzy after every wash. If you have normal, thick hair then you can even use this shampoo on its own without a conditioner on the days when you are in a rush.
Overall, I will recommend the Vedantika Herbals Lemongrass Shampoo for all hair types but particularly to those who have an oily or irritated scalp. At the affordable price of INR 250 for a 200ml bottle, you can definitely try this shampoo once, I am sure you will like it!
