A healthy head of hair can instantly make you look more put together, especially if you have naturally fine and limp hair like mine. I had been loving the Body Shop Fuji Green Tea Shampoo to add some bounce to my thin hair, but I noticed that in the summer heat, this product was making my hair slightly dry. The Ashtapathy Deva Thali Shampoo arrived at my doorstep just in time to add that extra boost of nourishment to my hair. Read on to find out why this shampoo has won my heart.
The Ashtapathy Deva Thali Shampoo is a sulfate and paraben free shampoo with a 100% ayurvedic recipe. The key ingredients include Aloe Vera, Hibiscus, Shikakai and Henna, all of which are known to work miracles on rough and damaged hair. The formula has a regular shampoo’s consistency, in the form of a golden brown translucent gel that is neither too runny nor too think. It has a strong herbal scent but the fragrance doesn’t linger much on the hair. The shampoo lathers up decently on wet hair, but definitely not as much as shampoos targeted for oily scalps. Despite having relatively less lather than some other shampoos, it does a good job at removing dirt, grease and product residue from the scalp. It leaves the hair feeling clean without stripping them dry or making them frizzy. Overall, it gives a healthy finish to the hair and I feel that it increases the strength of the hair as well. It reduces split ends and also claims to prevent dandruff and premature greying (something I couldn’t test on my hair).
I have to follow up this shampoo with a conditioner or hair mask because my hair tends to get tangled and frizzy towards the ends. My scalp stays clean and non-greasy for 2 days after using this shampoo and on the third day I either need to wash my hair again or go in with a dry shampoo.
To summarize, I feel that the Ashtapathy Deva Thali Shampoo is an excellent product for those with dry and damaged hair. You may need to use a conditioner as per your hair type after this shampoo but as far as the health of your scalp and hair is concerned, this shampoo will have you covered. It is priced at INR 125 for a 100 ml tube and the price is very decent in my opinion. Oh, and I love the luxurious packaging that is so soothing to the eyes. Basically, if you want to provide ample nourishment to your hair at an affordable price, then the Ashtapathy Deva Thali Shampoo is your best bet. Do try it out and let me know your thoughts!
