Kanai Organics Nail Paints | New Shades | Review and Swatches

Posted on March 18, 2020March 10, 2020 by Mrinalini

My regular readers might know that I am already a fan of the original, creamy Kanai Organics Nail Paints that are non-toxic and 12-free. The good news is that the brand has recently released more textures and shades in their range, and now have shimmery and glittery polishes too. They kindly sent me three of their new nail paints to try, and here is my review with swatches.

The shade Kiss Me is a beautiful light pink with tiny silver glitter particles that make it look like an icy pink under direct light. This nail paint goes opaque in two coats and dries on the nails within seconds, making it perfect for when you have a special event to attend but very little time at hand to get ready. It stays on the nails for a good 6 days but may fray a bit at the edges if you wash utensils or clothes daily. Unlike some of the glitter polishes that I own, this nail paint is very easy to remove with regular nail polish remover, which is a relief for lazy me!

Kanai Organics Nail Paint - Drama Queen

The Kanai Organics Nail Paint in the shade Drama Queen is a beautiful peach shade with a metallic sheen due to the presence of micro-shimmer in the formula. It is almost like a peachy metallic matte that will flatter a range of Indian skin tones. This formula dries on the nails within seconds and does not chip for 6 days. You will need 2 coats for full opacity. I will highly recommend this shade for daily wear as well as for special occasions.

Kanai Organics Nail Paint - Matahari

The Kanai Organics Nail Paint in the shade Matahari is a dark maroon that has a shiny and creamy finish. This particular nail paint requires 3 coats for full opacity and takes longer than the shimmery formulas to dry because of its creamy consistency. You will have to wait for 4-5 minutes for each layer to dry fully, which can be a bit of a hassle if you are in a rush. However, the shade is a beautiful one which is dark and bold but not too vampy and it stays on the nails for a whole week without chipping. A beautiful option for all Indian skin tones.

Priced at INR 199 each, the Kanai Organics Nail Paints are vegan, non-toxic and amazing in terms of quality. I will highly urge all of you to try at least one shade!
