Reviewing a skincare product can be hard. You have to make sure that you do not make any other changes to your skincare routine while reviewing the product in question but there are still factors that could come into play, such as the weather, hormones, and the food you eat. At times I have to squint my eyes and stare hard at the mirror to figure out whether a particular cream or serum has made any difference to my skin but with the product I am going to talk about today, the improvement to the texture of my skin was so drastic that no magnifying lens was required for the review 😛 This wonderful product is the Tvakh 5% Vitamin C Glow Booster Exfoliating Water.
This product is essentially a toner that you need to use after washing your face, before going in with a moisturiser. I have been using it for around 10 days as a part of my evening skincare routine and am already thoroughly impressed with the product. I will definitely update this blog post if my thoughts change after a month or so but as of now, I feel that this product has lightened my spots and given a healthy glow to my skin that is clearly visible even from a distance. This efficacy of the product is due to the impressive list of ingredients, which include a generous dose of Vitamin C, a miracle skincare ingredient that is supposed to add a glow, diminish fine lines, and reduce any dullness. The product also contains Glycolic Acid, which is known to be an excellent exfoliator for acne-prone skin, along with a bunch of other superfoods for the skin as mentioned in the picture below. These days a lot of products claim to have these ingredients but it all boils down to having them in the right concentration, which the team at Tvakh seems to have nailed.
This toner is almost transparent with a hint of orange and smells citrusy with chemical undertones. It does tingle a little during the first few uses but is not harsh at all on the face once the skin gets used to it. It has not only helped with lightening my spots and brightening my skin but I have also noticed my dead skin peeling off faster than usual, making the product live up to its claim of being an exfoliating water. I would say that every skin type will benefit from using the product, provided you do not have extremely sensitive or dry skin. It is particularly suitable for acne and blemish-prone skin because it also helps with shrinking the pimples faster.
Overall, I am completely satisfied with the product, other than the packaging that could be improved with a better dispensing mechanism. A 100ml bottle of the toner is priced at INR 525, which is a fair deal considering the quantity you get and the quality of the product. So if you are in the market for a toner that also exfoliates and brightens the skin then the Tvakh Vitamin C Glow Booster Exfoliating Water is my recommendation for you.
