Suganda Pure Squalane | Review

Posted on November 20, 2020November 19, 2020 by Mrinalini

I guess we can all agree that moisturization is the key to healthy skin. But finding the perfect moisturizer is always a struggle! With so many moisturizers having a long ingredient list, it becomes difficult to pick one that will agree with your skin. Doesn’t it make sense to cut back on the ingredients and…

Derma Co Glycolic Acid Toner | Review

Posted on November 18, 2020November 17, 2020 by Mrinalini

AHA toners are the best way to incorporate chemical exfoliation in your skincare regimen. They are gentler than chemical peels and have a lower concentration of exfoliants, which means that the risk of over-exfoliating and sensitizing the skin is minimized. They are usually beginner-friendly, and you can customize the frequency of use as per your…

Eclat Glow Tonic Exfoliating Toner | Review

Posted on November 6, 2020November 5, 2020 by Mrinalini

While physical scrubs were all the rage a few years back, people have now moved to chemical scrubs that are less damaging to the skin and more effective too. There was a shift to chemical peels last year, but a lot of people realized that their skin prefers a gentler form of exfoliation. This is…

So I recently got my hands on both the sunscreens So I recently got my hands on both the sunscreens from @reequil and lets just call them the blue one and the orange one for the sake of convenience, shall we?

The blue one has a velvety texture that has a whipped/moussey consistency in the tube. It spreads easily on the skin and offers a matte finish without any white cast. This one is a hybrid sunscreen with zinc, titanium oxide, as well as stable organic filters. Those with oily skin who prefer a matte finish will love this one and I feel this will be the perfect summer sunscreen for me.

The orange one is a slightly thick cream that is quite hydrating and blends pretty easily on the skin (doesn't leave a white cast). It settles to a dewy (but not greasy) finish on my skin. It contains stable organic/chemical filters to offer UVA and UVB protection. I can see anyone from oily to dry skin enjoying the texture of this one. If you have very oily skin then you can skip a moisturizer when using this sunscreen. I think it is the perfect winter sunscreen for me.

If you were looking for fairly affordable sunscreens that do not leave a white cast or pill then your search ends here. Choose the one whose finish you prefer more and I'm sure you will love it!

I have followed the One in One Out policy for my s I have followed the One in One Out policy for my skincare, makeup and clothes for as long as I can remember. Here are some of the skincare products that I recently emptied and what I have replaced them with -

1. Hydrating Serum - I am surprised at how quickly I emptied the @zilchway Insta Bounce Serum, it is such a fuss-free hydrating lotion that I have been reaching for it whenever my skin felt dry in December. Have now replaced it with the @suganda.co Hyaluronic Acid Serum. The Zilch serum has a more lotion-like consistency whereas the Suganda one is a gel. I like them both but feel that the former will work better from dry to moderately oily skin while the latter will suit oily to extremely oily skin more.

2. Moisturizer - I was absolutely devastated when I emptied the @vauntskincare BFFF Moisturizer. It is honestly better than any moisturizer I have tried lately and I will be restocking it soon. In the meantime, I am using the Suganda Squalane after my hydrating serum to seal the moisture in. This one is gentle, light-weight and kind to the skin barrier, which I love. Highly recommend both these products.

3. Lip Balm - The Arata Lip Balm was a savior for me in December and thanks to it my lips didn't chap like they normally do in Winters. It is one of the rare vegan lip balms with a thick and emollient consistency. Now I am using the Suganda Calendula Lip Balm which is slightly thinner but equally moisturising. Again, both the products are winners for me.

Have you tried any of these products yet?

Do you like lavender? You will LOVE the Lush Laven Do you like lavender? You will LOVE the Lush Lavender Body Butter from @herbisland.official 💜
It has an almost whipped consistency that blends beautifully on the skin. Upon spreading, it looks white and grainy initially, but once you massage it well, it has an invisible finish. It makes my skin super soft without being greasy and has the heavenly scent of lavender. Not only does it moisturize my skin really well, it's beautiful scent makes me sleep better too! Highly recommend this gem!!!

Have been trying the @suganda.co Hyaluronic Acid S Have been trying the @suganda.co Hyaluronic Acid Serum for a week now and have formed my first impressions of the product. Here is everything what I want to tell you about this product -

✨ I love the fact that the Ingredient list is short and simple. It contains hydrating ingredients in the form of hyaluronic acid and panthenol, along with soothing ingredients in the form of centell and colloidal oatmeal. Apart from this, there aren't many other ingredients except the necessary preservatives.

✨ I love that the product doesn't claim to do multiple things. It is supposed to be hydrating and soothing and it fares well on both these accounts.

✨ I also love that the product doesn't feel heavy on my skin. It blends in quickly (foams a little in the beginning, probably due to the oatmeal but then settles to an invisible finish. It leaves the skin soft and hydrated but you don't really feel the product sitting on your skin.

✨ It doesn't contain fragrance and doesn't even have a noticeable natural scent. This along with the fuss-free ingredient list makes it perfect for sensitive skin.

Overall, if you are in the market for a hydrating serum with no frills attached you can definitely pick this one. I love to sandwich it between a mist and an oil (my moisture sandwich if I may call it so!!)
