Hydrating Serum are two words that always manage to bring a smile to my face! Lighter than a cream but bursting with hydration, these serums are perfect for my combination to oily skin and are an integral part of my skincare routine. The day the Luxurious Adore Avocado Milk Serum was launched, I knew that I needed it in my skincare stash! Not only does this serum claim to hydrate and soothe the skin, it looks incredibly soothing too! Here are my thoughts on this product after using it for a few weeks!
The Formula
The Luxurious Adore Avocado Milk Serum comes in the form of a milky emulsion. It spreads easily on the skin and feels like a light-weight, thin lotion. It has a soothing fruity scent which is very mild. The serum sinks into the skin quickly and leaves a slight sheen on the face without feeling heavy or greasy. The formula contains natural sources of Vitamins A,C,D and E in the form of Avocado Oil and Honey Melon Hydrosol. It also contains Sodium Hyaluronate, which is one of my favourite hydrating ingredients. The serum claims to soothe and hydrate the skin while tackling acne and premature ageing. The Packaging
The Luxurious Adore Avocado Milk Serum comes in a beautiful glass bottle with a handy dropper. The packaging is quite minimalistic and the milky green colour of the serum peeks through the bottle. The label contains information about the ingredients, along with details of the brand and usage instructions. One thing that was missing from the label was the preservative used in the formula. I messaged the brand regarding the same and was told that they use Phenoxyethanol as a preservative in all their products. It would be great if the brand could add this detail on the label as well, considering how ingredient conscious we all have become. However, I loved how prompt and transparent the brand has been in answering all my queries. If you too need any additional information regarding the products then you can write to the brand.
Update – The brand has updated the ingredient list on their website to clearly indicate the preservative and have also decided to update the product label!

How To Use The Luxurious Adore Avocado Milk Serum
Since the Luxurious Adore Avocado Milk Serum is a hydrating serum that does not contain a high concentration of actives, it can be used daily. You can incorporate it in your morning and/or evening routine, and can easily layer other products on top of it if you like, thanks to its light-weight texture. For my oily skin, it provides sufficient hydration on its own during the day and I only use a sunscreen on top of it. At night, I layer it under the Luxurious Adore Blue Tansy Clarifying Serum, and the combination works wonderfully well for me.
My Experience With The Luxurious Adore Avocado Milk Serum
As I mentioned above, I have been using the Luxurious Adore Avocado Milk Serum twice a day for a few weeks now, and my skin is looking plump, hydrated and healthy! The serum hydrates my skin really well, and I don’t feel the urge to layer it with other products during the day. It makes my skin super soft and has managed to bring down the texture to some extent as well. Moreover, it also soothes any redness or irritation caused by acne, heat, or other sources. Overall, I love its consistency which is not as light as a gel and not as heavy as a cream. I can easily use it as a summer serum on its own and in winters I can layer it up with other oils and creams.
The price is definitely on the higher side, but for the consistency and properties of this serum, I am even willing to drink it 😀 If you can afford to purchase this then please give it a try. I feel that it will work very well across different skin types!
