The Shades
The Spekta Cosmetics Nail Enamels originally came in a creamy formula but their Galaxy Nail Effects Collection contains 2 shimmery shades and 2 glittery nail toppers. The shimmery shades are Nebula – a shimmery deep red and Supernova – a shimmery gold. The two nail toppers are Angel Dust – a transparent base with tiny glitters that reflect blue, green and purple light, and Andromeda – a transparent base with chunky flakies that reflect the different colours of the rainbow from different angles.
The Formula
The two shimmery nail paints in the new Spekta Cosmetics Nail Enamel collection have a fairly thin and quick-drying formula. Two coats will give you a fully opaque pigmentation. These nail paints are fairly chip resistant and last on my nails for a good 5 days at least and do not lose their sheen as well.
The nail toppers have a thick transparent base with the glitter particles running through it. To be honest, the base is a bit too thick for my liking as it becomes a little tough to apply the glitter particles evenly on top of the nails. However, the final effect is still so beautiful that I don’t mind the formula too much. One layer of either of the toppers gives a pretty effect on top of any nail colour of your choice or even on bare nails. I won’t recommend applying more than 2 coats of the nail toppers because it will make the nail paint look thick and goopy.
My Verdict on The Spekta Cosmetics Nail Enamels
If you are a nail art lover but lack the skill or time to manually create stunning effects on your nails then simply adding a coat of Andromeda or Angel Dust on top of any nail paint will do the trick for you. As for the shimmery shades, both Nebula and Supernova look gorgeous, can be applied effortlessly on the nails and are extremely flattering shades for Indian skin tones. All in all, the Galaxy Nail Effects Collection is the perfect addition to the Spekta Cosmetics Nail Enamel family for those of you who love a bit of sparkle on your nails. I will highly recommend it for the upcoming festive season. So what that we have to celebrate the festivals at home this time – our nails can still look blingy!
