Coco Soul is a bodycare brand from the makers of Parachute oil, a coconut oil that is known and loved by a majority of Indians. The key ingredient of all the products from this brand is 100% Organic Virgin Coconut Oil, which is known for its moisturizing, healing and anti-microbial properties. I recently incorporated the Coco Soul Shower Gel and Conditioner in my daily routine and have quite enjoyed using both the products. Here is my review for all of you.

The Packaging
The Coco Soul Shower Gel and Conditioner come in a beautiful, minimalistic packaging that is white with golden brown lettering. I have the travel versions of these products but the full-sized packaging of these products is in the form of pump bottles with a similar colour scheme. The packaging is quite sturdy and looks classy too.

Coco Soul Revitalizing Shower Gel Review
The Coco Soul Shower Gel is a gentle body wash that is free of sulphates, mineral oil, parabens and silicones. It contains coconut oil for hydration, turmeric for brightening the skin and gotukola or Centella to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. The formula is in the form of a clear gel with a peachy tint and a mild coconut scent.

The lather of the Coco Soul Shower Gel feels very gentle on the skin and those with dry or sensitive skin will not find it too aggressive for their skin type. This body wash cleanses the skin thoroughly and leaves it supple, soft and hydrated, without any hints of dryness. It also feels quite soothing on the skin.
The only downside of the product is the price, which is INR 799 for a 300ml bottle. There is no doubt that this body wash contains better ingredients than the affordable alternatives in the market, but it may still be too expensive for a lot of people. However, if you are able to grab it during a sale then I’m sure you will enjoy this gentle shower gel.

Coco Soul Conditioner for Hair and Scalp | Review
The next product from Coco Soul that I have been using is the Coco Soul Conditioner for Hair and Scalp. It is also free of parabens, sulphates, mineral oil and silicones and contains Coconut Oil as its star ingredient. It also contains hibiscus extracts, which are known to increase the shine and softness of the hair, along with Lunuwila plant extracts, which are known to reduce dandruff and scalp irritation.

The formula of this conditoner is similar to that of any creamy conditioner in terms of consistency and is peachy in colour. It has a strong coconut scent which reminds me of coconut candy but it is not overwhelming and does not linger too much on the hair.
Even though this conditoner is meant for both the hair and the scalp, I have been using it only on the lengths of my hair because I feel that it may be a little too rich for my oily scalp. Those with a dry or flaky scalp can definitely try it as a scalp treatment as well and I can imagine that it will be a soothing product for the skin of the scalp too.
On my hair, this product works as a powerful conditioner and manages to detangle, soften and smoothen the hair within 5 minutes. It does not weigh the hair down, but manages to softeny frizzy hair to the extent that I do not need to use a hair mask after this conditoner. I hardly ever find conditioners that leave my hair tame enough to not need a mask or even a serum afterwards, but this conditioner alone manages to detangle my hair enough to not need a mask or serum.

Overall, I feel that the Coco Soul Conditioner is an amazing product and the price of INR 799 for a 200ml bottle is justified considering how well it works and how little of the product you need for every use. You can get it at a further reduced price during the ongoing sale on Nykaa. Do grab it if you have frizzy, dry hair like mine 🙂
