Just Herbs is a luxury Ayurvedic skincare brand that I first tried several years ago and remember being impressed with their moisturizers. Over the years, I lost touch with the brand until recently, when they kindly sent me across a few of their products to try. After experiencing the quality of their products again, I have literally been kicking myself for not exploring this brand in depth earlier! The brand stands for clean skincare that is enriched with Ayurvedic herbs and is free of any baddies. The Just Herbs SilkSplash Face Wash is an absolute delight to use, and today I will be reviewing it for all of you!

The Packaging
The packaging of all the products from Just Herbs is very minimalistic and classy. The Just Herbs SilkSplash Face Wash comes in a transparent pump bottle with a label that has a beautiful botanical print on it. The packaging is very sturdy and travel-friendly while being easy to use. Also, the botanical print gives it a luxurious feel. I also appreciate that the brand has mentioned all the ingredients on the label itself. You can choose from a 100ml bottle priced at INR 495 and a 200ml bottle priced at INR 825. I will definitely be going for the bigger bottle next time because I love this face wash so much!

The Ingredients
The first thing about the brand Just Herbs that really stood out to me was the transparency in terms of ingredients, both on their packaging and their website. The brand provides the list of all the ingredients on the product label and website and also mentions which of the ingredients are certified organic. What is also commendable is that the brand has clearly stated that even natural ingredients can cause allergies and therefore patch tests are essential with every product. In today’s day and age where certain brands tend to abuse the term “Natural” as a synonym for safe, Just Herbs keeps things real and educates their users regarding each ingredient in the formula, which is truly laudable.

The Formula of Just Herbs SilkSplash Face Wash
Coming to the formula of the Just Herbs SilkSplash Face Wash, this is a gel cleanser that is free of SLS and SLES, which means that it does not strip the skin dry. The formula smells like rose water and produces a gentle lather that removes excess oil and dirt from the face without causing any stretchy feeling on the skin. The ingredient list boasts of a number of ingredients that are a boon for acne-prone skin, such as neem, bitter orange extracts, chandan and honey. The formula also contains a number of soothing ingredients such as aloe vera juice, cucumber extracts and calendula extracts.
I also tested the pH of the formula using pH strips and found it to lie between 5 and 6, which means that it will not damage the protective acidic mantle of the skin. All in all, this product is really well-formulated to suit a range of different skin types and should work well for both dry and oily, as well as acne-prone skin,

My Experience With The Just Herbs SilkSplash Face Wash
From the very first use, the Just Herbs SilkSplash Face Wash has bowled me over. I love its soothing scent that is reminiscent of roses, as well as the gentle lather that cleanses the skin so mildly. Neem and honey is a potent combination to battle acne and brighten the skin and this face wash manages to do both really well. After a couple of uses, I could see that my active acne was drying up and shrinking and my skin was more glowy than usual. I have been using this face wash both as my morning and evening cleanser because it is gentle, refreshing and leaves my skin feeling hydrated and acne-free.
It is hard to find a face wash that is such an all-rounder and I will therefore recommend all of you to try it out. It will work well on all skin types but is particularly a blessing for those with acne-prone, irritated skin. Take my word for it, every penny you spend on this face wash is going to be a wonderful investment for your skin!
