Let’s be real, there are very few things on the planet that give a makeup lover as much joy as a liquid lipstick that is richly pigmented and lasts all day long. While we had very few options for liquid lipsticks in India 5 years back, the market is now flooded with different brands and formulations. To help you navigate through this sea of liquid lipsticks, today I will be talking about my Top 5 Liquid Lipsticks in India for all Indian Skin Tones and will be breaking down and ranking all their attributes. So without much ado, let’s get started!

1. Maybelline Super Stay Matte Ink Liquid Lipstick

The most popular budge-proof liquid lipsticks in India, and with good reason! The Maybelline Super Stay Matte Ink Liquid Lipstick has a slightly sticky formula that is richly pigmented and lasts all day on the lips. It does feel a little sticky when you purse the lips together, till a few hours after application, but it will last through a storm and several meals. I also love the huge shade range (30 shades in India) and will recommend the shades Founder, Seeker, Ruler and Amazonian the most.

If you’re on a budget then you can’t go wrong with the Wet n Wild MegaLast Liquid Catsuit Lipstick. This one has a fairly sticky formula that does feel drying on the lips but if you are used to wearing liquid lipsticks then you won’t find it too uncomfortable. The formula lasts on the lips all day long and fades only slightly even after an oily meal. If you are looking for something light-weight then the Lakme Absolute Matte Melt Liquid Lip Color will be your jam. The pigmentation of this lipstick is not the best and you may have to layer up some of the shades for full opacity, but it scores really well on the comfort factor. The shade range is not too experimental, and mostly comprises of reds and pinks, but it is inclusive enough for all Indian skin tones to find a few shades that will be flattering on them. If you are a nude lover and a fan of the Kylie Jenner look, you will love the shades of the NYX Lip Lingerie Liquid Lipsticks. The shades are limited, but offer the perfect sultry nudes for Indian skin tones. The formula is quite comfortable and lasts really long on the lips, but may not survive an oily meal. The Chambor Extreme Wear Transferproof Liquid Lipsticks have been around for a while but somehow missed my radar for quite some time. The shade range largely comprises of reds, maroons and pinks, but I guess most people gravitate towards these colours anyway. The formula is decently comfortable and lasts on the lips all day long.
