If you are a regular reader of my blog or follow me on Instagram then you would know that I am a huge fan of the Nature Sure Thumba Wonder Hair Oil. Today I will be talking about yet another hair product from the brand that has an intriguing formulation – the Nature Sure Jonk Tail or Leech Oil. Read on to find out what this unique product claims to do and whether it lives up to its claims!
The Packaging
The Nature Sure Jonk Tail comes in a 110ml plastic bottle which is green in colour and quite resembles a miniature wine bottle. It comes with a black plastic flip lid which is quite convenient to use and the bottle also has a white plastic cap inside to prevent leakage while travelling. I find the packaging quite unique and cute, and you can easily spot this bottle among your collection of oils due to the distinct colour and shape. One bottle is priced at INR 239, which is fairly affordable for the quantity of the product.
The Formula
Some of you may know that Ayurveda has mentioned the benefits of Leech Oil at reversing baldness and restoring scalp health and this is what the Nature Sure Jonk Tail claims to do. From what I read online, traditionally leech oil was prepared by simmering a carrier oil and leeches together. If this sounds like a tedious process to you then the Nature Sure Leech Oil could be the solution. The brand claims that this oil is 100% pure Leech Oil, and from the nutty scent and consistency of the carrier oil, it seems similar to be sesame oil. So I am assuming that this leech oil is prepared using leeches and some seed oil as its ingredients although the individual concentrations are not mentioned on the packaging. The product has a light golden colour and a mild nutty scent, as I mentioned before, and is non-sticky in nature.
My experience with the Nature Sure Jonk Tail
While the brand recommends leaving this oil overnight on the scalp, I prefer to massage it into the scalp one hour before washing my hair. Contrary to what I had initially expected, the oil is very light-weight and not sticky or thick at all. It sinks into the scalp quickly and does not leave the hair looking too greasy. It gets washed off from the hair easily too after using a regular amount of shampoo.
After the first wash itself, I noticed that my hair looked smoother, without being weighed down, and my scalp was not itchy or flaky anymore (I was experiencing some flakiness due to the cold weather before I started using this oil). While I cannot confirm whether or not this oil can reverse baldness, it definitely helps with faster hair regrowth by improving the blood circulation in the scalp, and I could notice more regrowth than usual after using this oil for a month. Do not expect any overnight miracles though, but nothing that claims to give overnight results is truly effective. I wish that the brand had mentioned how this oil is actually created on the packaging, as that would have made the product even more appealing. If you are looking for a light-weight oil to nourish the scalp though, you can definitely give this one a shot.
Kitna bhi effective ho, main ye use nahi kar sakti 🙈🙈
