Waasana (formerly Wild Organica) is an Indie brand that has come up with a skincare and haircare range that uses 100% organic ingredients. These products are handmade and are produced in small batches by the brand. Their team recently reached out to me, wanting me to review a few of their products and I gladly accepted the offer because I have heard great things about the brand from fellow bloggers. I received their CTM kit for acne-prone skin and the Wheat Protein Enriched Shampoo. Here is my review of all the products after testing them out thoroughly.
Waasana 2 in 1 Face Cleanser and Face Pack
The Waasana 2 in 1 Face Cleanser and Face Pack is a finely milled powder cleanser that doubles as a face pack. Simply mix it in with water or rose water and use as a cleanser or mask, as per your requirement. This product contains Bentonite Clay, Kaolin Clay, Oats, Spirulina and Tea Tree Essential Oil as some of its key ingredients. It mildly exfoliates the skin and instantly adds a radiant glow to the face when used as a face pack. Thanks to the presence of tea tree oil and clay, it sucks out all the excess oil from the face and calms down any active breakouts. The only slight con of this product is its strong herbal (not artificial) scent which some may find a little strong, but the smell goes away once you rinse off the product. Overall, I think that this is a great face pack for those with oily and acne-prone skin.
Waasana Tea Tree Facial Toner
The product for the next step of the CTM routine is the Waasana Tea Tree Facial Toner. This toner is nothing but 100% pure steam distilled tea tree water, and from the herbal scent and feel of the product, it seems pure indeed. If you are someone who finds tea tree oil a little too intense for your skin then this gentle product is a great way to incorporate the benefits of tea tree in your skincare routine. It feels slightly cooling on the skin and soothes angry acne from the first use. Thanks to the anti-bacterial properties of tea tree, this product will help prevent future breakouts too.
Waasana Aloe Face Moisturiser
The Waasana Aloe Face Moisturiser is a blessing for those who have dehydrated and acne-prone skin. Many anti-acne products tend to leave the skin feeling dehydrated and parched, this face moisturiser on the other hand shrinks the acne while making the skin plump and hydrated. This product contains Aloe vera, Argan Oil and Jojoba Oil as some of its nourishing ingredients, along with tea tree essential oil, rosemary and lavender as skin soothing ingredients that help combat acne. It does not feel heavy or greasy on the face and sinks into the skin within seconds. I will highly recommend this cream to those with acne-prone skin, particularly for the winters when the skin becomes dehydrated.
Waasana Wheat Protein Enriched Shampoo
The Waasana Wheat Protein Enriched Shampoo is an SLS and paraben free shampoo that contains a bunch of nourishing ingredients for the hair and scalp. Some of the ingredients that stood out to me were Fenugreek Water, Aloe Vera Juice, Wheat Protein, Argan Oil and Lavender & Rosemary essential oils. This shampoo produces a decent amount of lather and cleanses the hair quite well, but without stripping the scalp dry. It also adds a healthy shine to the hair and makes them look smoother with regular use. I will personally recommend this shampoo to those with dry to normal scalp, because it may be a little too nourishing for oily hair.
