With so many new skincare brands expanding their wings in India, very few products and ranges tend to truly excite me and spark my curiosity anymore. “Myoho” by Pure by Priyanka is one such skincare brand that stood out to me in terms of their unique formulations, aesthetically pleasing packaging as well as the brand’s ethos. The brand kindly sent me a bunch of their products to try out, and I have been loving everything I have tested so far. Here is a review of all the products from the brand that I am loving at the moment.
Myoho by Pure by Priyanka Rose Gold Face Wash
Just like all the products from Myoho, the Rose Gold Face Wash comes in a beautifully packaged bottle with a pump and the formula is free of parabens, phthalates, artificial fragrance and sulfates. This face wash contains rose water to soothe the skin, sweet almond oil to hydrate it and geranium oil to cleanse the pores, among other skin-loving ingredients. The gel-based formula produces a gentle lather that cleanses the skin thoroughly without drying it out too much, but I feel that it may still be a little drying for those with normal to dry skin. I personally like it for my oily skin and love how soft and glowy it makes my face.
Myoho by Pure by Priyanka Rose Gold Gel Toner
One of the most intriguing and unique products from Myoho by Pure by Priyanka is their Rose Gold Gel Toner. This is a deep pink gel which smells like roses and has specks of gold dust running through the formula. Not only is this product a delight to look at, it works really well at calming down the skin and helps to tighten the pores when gently tapped on cleansed skin. Rose water and aloe are two ingredients that really help to calm down my irritated skin and to shrink any breakouts and this product does just that. It also helps to curb oil production and I wake up in the morning with less greasy skin than usual. Will highly recommend this product to those with oily and acne-prone skin.
Myoho by Pure by Priyanka Rose Gold Gel Scrub
The Myoho Rose Gold Gel Scrub is beetroot pink in colour and contains apricot shell beads embedded in an aloe gel that also contains rose extracts, gold dust, vitamin e and raw honey as some of its key ingredients. The apricot beads exfoliate the skin really thorougly and help me get rid of a tan or any ingrown hair on my hands and legs (I prefer using such physical scrubs on my body and not my face). It smells like gulkand (rose petal preserve) and does not have an overpowering sweet scent. While the scrub particles are fairly gritty, the gel component feels soothing and hydrating on the skin, and the combo leaves my skin soft, smooth and radiant.
Myoho by Pure by Priyanka Anti Tan Powder Face Mask
The Myoho Anti Tan Powder Face Mask is a powder-based face mask that contains red sandalwood, white sandalwood, multani mitti, calamine, licorice and red rice powder to gently exfoliate the skin, unclog the pores and add a glow to the face. You can mix the powder with rose water, aloe vera gel, or yogurt as per your skin type to create a paste. The face mask does not cause any tingling or burning on the face and I prefer mixing it with aloe gel to help cool down my skin. It does not tug at the skin and only feels harder when it dries down in around 10 minutes, at which point I wash it off in gentle circular motions with tepid water, so as to allow the particles to exfoliate the skin. This mask does a great job at removing the grease and gunk from my pores and leaves my skin feeling incredibly soft. Will recommend it those who are looking for a gentle scrub cum mask for their face.
Myoho by Pure by Priyanka Rose Gold Body Mist
The Rose Gold Body Mist from Myoho has a beautiful light pink colour that looks incredibly alluring. This one is a refreshing body mist that emanates the fragrance of fresh roses, but you definitely cannot use this as a perfume because the scent is faint and short-lived. It is a great product to gently hydrate your skin and to uplift your mood with a couple of spritzes and I will certainly be reaching for it every single day in the warmer months. My only complain with the product is that the spray nozzle on my bottle is not functioning properly and I may have to replace it to get an even mist of product with every spritz. Perhaps I just received a faulty one, but in any case, I will salvage it and use up every last drop of the product.
My verdict on Myoho by Pure by Priyanka
Overall, I really love the quality of all the products from Myoho by Pure by Priyanka and each of these products lives up to its claims. Not only do these products look extremely pretty, they have also helped curb my acne and add a subtle glow to my face. The price of each product is in the INR 600-800 range, which I feel is justified by the clean ingredients. I will highly recommend trying at least a couple of products from the brand if you are in the market for some new skincare.
P.S. – The review of the Vitamin C Serum by the brand will be coming soon, after I test it thoroughly to my satisfaction 🙂
