Baniithanii Bath and Body Products | Review

When skincare products are made with clean and pure ingredients, you can literally feel their purity on your skin. This is how my experience has been with the skincare products from Baniithanii, a homegrown skincare brand whose roots lie in the principles of Ayurveda. Each product is vegetarian and cruelty-free, is carefully formulated using natural ingredients and is devoid of any artificial fragrance or colours. The results truly speak for themselves, so without much ado, here is my review of the Baniithanii Bath and Body products.

Baniithanii Lemonade Body Scrub

The Baniithanii Lemonade Body Scrub is an extremely interesting product which is a delight to use. This body scrub basically comes in the form of individual cubes that are slightly squishy and creamy in texture. You are supposed to wet one of these cubes under running water to form a paste that you can use as a body scrub. Each cube contains Lemon, Sugar, Honey, Grapeseed oil, Vitamin E oil and Coconut Oil and melts to give a super creamy consistency when wet. The sugar particles exfoliate the skin really well and help with dead skin and tan removal whereas the nourishing oils present in each cube leave the skin extremely hydrated and supple. This is the only body scrub I have used that not only makes my skin visibly brighter but also moisturises it, so much so that I can skip a body lotion after using this product. Priced at INR 449, this product delivers value for money and is quite fun to use as well.

Baniithanii Green Velvet Body Polish

Moving on to the next product, the Baniithanii Green Velvet Body Polish is a beautiful green powder that contains Neem, Haldi, Tulsi, and a blend of essential herbs. This multi-tasking product can be used as a bath scrub, a face pack or even a hair mask. You simply have to mix it with a hydrosol of your choice to make a paste and then use it on your face or body as per your needs. I personally like to mix it with rose water to use as a body scrub or a face pack. It gently exfoliates the skin and calms down any acne or irritation, leaving the skin non-greasy and visibly brighter. Priced at INR 499, this body polish is a must have for those with oily and acne prone skin.

Baniithanii Lal Chandan Bathing Bar

Coming to the bathing bars, I will first talk about the Lal Chandan Bathing Bar from the brand. This product has sandalwood as its key ingredient, which is known for its antiseptic, brightening and anti-inflammatory properties. It helps to calm down any breakouts on the body and feels very soothing on the skin. Since this product is free of fragrance, it is suitable for those with sensitive skin and its lather feels extremely gentle too. As it is a handmade soap, it does melt faster than regular soaps but I like that it does not remain goopy or squishy after use. With regular use, this soap will brighten your skin and will help with tan removal too, and I feel that it is gentle enough to be used on the face as well!

Baniithanii Activated Charcoal Bathing Bar

I am a huge fan of activated charcoal as a skincare ingredient, which is why the Charcoal Bathing Bar is my absolute favourite from the range. This soap helps to detoxify the skin and deep cleanses the pores. It is great for those who suffer from body acne and I personally noticed that it shrank the acne on my back with just one use. It produces a greyish lather that is quite satisfying to look at (because it reminds me of the mixture of ash and water that my elders used to bathe with) and is gentle despite its detoxifying nature. This product is also free of any fragrance and is perfect for those who are allergic to artificial scents.
