As you approach your thirties, you may begin to notice patches of dullness or pigmentation on your skin. This is primarily due to a reduced supply of oxygen to the skin cells due to aging. Hence, you will need to invest in skincare products that provide a boost of oxygen to your skin, eliminating these signs of aging. The Kaya Youth Oxy-Infusion Skincare Range claims to do just that, and promises glowing, youthful skin with the regular use of their products. The brand was kind enough to send me a few of their cleansing products to try, so here is my review of the Kaya Youth Oxy Infusion Face Wash, Micellar Water and Face Wipes.
The Kaya Youth Oxy-Infusion Face Wash comes in a white tube with a beautiful blue and pink design that looks quite futuristic and appealing. The product inside is in the form of a white creamy liquid that has a mild sweet fragrance. The face wash lathers beautifully on the skin and produces a rich foam with just a small amount of product. Post washing, it leaves the skin supple and matte, but not dry. You will feel the product tightening your pores and will notice a glow on your skin from the very first use. Just like all the other products from the range, this one claims to contain a “micro-circulation complex” which helps to amp up the oxygen supply to the skin cells, making the skin look radiant and youthful. The product does live up to its claims and makes the skin less saggy and more glowy with regular use.
This face wash is priced at INR 199 for a 100gm tube, which I feel is quite affordable considering that it contains a number of skin-loving ingredients such as Niacinamide, Vitamin E, and shea butter. I also do not see any parabens on the ingredients list. It does contain fragrance, so those with sensitive skin should perform a patch test before using the product. Other than that, I feel that this is a good face wash for those with combination to oily skin who are noticing dullness or sagginess on their face. It may be a tad bit drying for those with dry skin, but should work fine when paired with a rich moisturizer.
Coming to the Kaya Youth Oxy-Infusion Micellar Water, the most attractive aspect of this product at first glance is its aqua blue colour and spray packaging, which is quite unique for a micellar water. The brand states that you can use it as a makeup remover as well as a cleanser for bare skin. How I tend to use the product is to spray it onto a cotton pad and then wipe my face with it to remove my makeup. This product is able to remove all non-waterproof makeup with ease and is able to remove liquid lipsticks too. I will not recommend removing eye makeup with it because it does sting the eyes upon contact. I have always been an advocate of double-cleansing and would never skip on a face wash after a makeup remover, but this product does remove almost all my face makeup in one go and provides an excellent first cleanse before a face wash.
This product has an astringent smell which I do not mind because I go in with the face wash after using it. It does leave the skin slightly dry, so it may not work for those with really dry skin but should suit all other skin types. Priced at INR 199 for a 100ml bottle, this product will last you for at least a couple of months, making it extremely affordable. If you are someone who does not wear heavy eye makeup on a daily basis, you can definitely pick this product for removing your face makeup before washing your face.
Coming to the Kaya Youth Oxy-Infusion Face Wipes, these face wipes come in a pack of 30 which is priced at a very affordable INR 199. The packaging is quite sturdy and the peel-off opening seals back in place quite well after I remove a wipe. These face wipes are generously moist and have a mild, clean fragrance to them. They remove dirt and grease with ease and are able to remove non-waterproof makeup too. They are quite hydrating and refreshing to use and should be suitable for all skin types.
While I do not use facial wipes on a daily basis because I prefer my liquid cleansers, and also because using wipes daily is not the best thing for the environment, I do tend to rely on wipes when I am travelling and need a quick cleanse without my skincare products around. These wipes get the job done with ease and one wipe can easily remove a full face of makeup (except mascara), including liquid lipsticks too. Again, I will recommend using the face wash after this wipe to remove all traces of makeup.
Overall, I feel that this range provides good quality at an affordable price and lives up to the claim of providing the experience of “Skin Pranayam”, or in other words, refreshing and revitalizing the skin to restore its youthful glow. If you are someone with dull and tired-looking skin then you will definitely benefit from a double cleansing routine using these products. Do try them out for supple and radiant skin that looks healthy from within.
