I recently posted a picture of the Tresemme Nourish & Replenish Pro Collection Shampoo and Conditioner on my Instagram feed, and I received a number of mixed reactions from you guys regarding whether this formula worked for you or not. Some said that this shampoo and conditioner provided great results for the price, others said that it didn’t work for them at all. Such is the case with most haircare products, because everybody’s hair is different. Read on to find out how this shampoo and conditioner worked for my fine hair and oily scalp.
The primary intent behind buying the Tresemme Biotique Shampoo and Conditioner was that I wanted some affordable haircare products for my newly coloured hair, and this range claimed to be safe for use on colour treated hair. However, when I looked at the ingredients of the shampoo, I realised that it contains SLS, which I thought was not a good ingredient for coloured hair. Then I went and checked the ingredients of some other shampoos that claimed to be safe for coloured hair and they contained SLS too, so I am not really sure now what they mean by “suitable for coloured hair”. Probably it means that the shampoo is gentle and does not lather too much to strip the colour from the hair. I decided to try the shampoo on my coloured hair anyway, and while it did lather up a lot, it seemed quite gentle for a shampoo with SLS in it and did not make the colour bleed, so I guess I will use this product up before opting for an SLS-free shampoo.
Both the shampoo and conditioner contain their fair share of silicones and perfume, but they also contain a number of fruit and seed oils to nourish and add shine to the hair. The shampoo cleanses the scalp really well and adds a natural lift at the roots which works well for my fine and limp hair. The conditioner adds a beautiful shine to my hair and makes them look quite healthy, particularly if I leave it on for more than 5 minutes like a hair mask. I also love the beautiful sweet coconut scent that lingers in my hair for a couple of days after using these products. And of course, who cannot love the beautiful, classy packaging with a unique press flip lid.
Overall, while this shampoo and conditioner duo may not have the most naturally sourced ingredients, it does work pretty well for my limp hair and oily scalp, and the price of less than INR 200 each for 190 ml bottles doesn’t hurt either. If you are not too fussy about having sulfates or silicones in your shampoo and conditioner, and have a similar hair type to mine then these products might be worth a shot for you. If you have already tried the shampoo and conditioner from the range then let me know in the comments how they fared for you!
