Nykaa Nail Enamel – Caramel Macchiato | Review and Swatches

Posted on July 10, 2019July 3, 2019 by Mrinalini

Nude nails can never go out of fashion. They look extremely elegant and classy and can be flaunted at work or even with glam party outfits. When going out for an official event, I always opt for nude nails because not only do they not look flashy, you can also get away with a few chips as they are not as visible with nude colours. The Nykaa Nail Enamel in the shade Caramel Machhiato (53) has been my go-to nude nailpaint this year. Here is why!

Nykaa Nail Enamel - Caramel Macchiato | Review and Swatches

The Nykaa Nail Enamel in the shade Caramel Macchiato is a beautiful milky brown nude, which is essentially the colour of very milky coffee. It is the perfect nude shade for those with light to medium Indian skin tones and will look beautiful as a light shade on deeper skin tones too. On me, it is just a few shades lighter than the skin tone of my fingers and it complements my complexion beautifully while looking extremely chic and sophisticated, especially on longer nails.

The formula is similar to the rest of the shades from the Nykaa Nail Enamel range. It is quite runny and liquidy but tends to thicken up in the bottle, which is the only con of this range in my opinion (I use some nail paint remover to thin out the formula when this happens but you can try storing these nail paints in the fridge too). One coat provides a semi-opaque wash of colour which does look extremely pretty and natural but two coats will provide you full opacity and longer wear. Each coat does take around 8-10 minutes to dry up completely but once set it does not chip on the nails for a good 5-6 days. The colour will however stain if you eat food containing turmeric with your hands (brown girl problems!). I usually rub a hand sanitizer on my nails if they are freshly stained with turmeric and it removes most of the stains without damaging the nail paint.

Priced at INR 179, Caramel Macchiato is a beautiful nail paint for those who are looking for a subtle shade for everyday wear, particularly for women working in a formal environment. I will highly recommend it to all of you who are in the need for a nude nailpaint!
