The trend of glowy makeup is not going anywhere soon and I am not complaining! A girl cannot have enough highlighters in 2019, and here is my review of a beautiful one from Ciate London. Read on to find out my thoughts on the Ciate London Glow-To Highlighter in the shade Moonlight!
I received a sample of this highlighter in a giveaway, hence it came in a plastic casing inside a cute cardboard box. The full size version of this product comes in a beautiful metallic casing with a mirror, but since it is very hard to go through a highlighter, I am glad that I received a sample size. This highlighter looks like a beautiful rose gold in the pan, but on my brown skin it shows up as more of a champagne colour with golden shimmer running through it. The product blends easily on the skin and provides a beautiful glow which looks quite natural under diffused light but becomes more blinding when direct light hits it. The tiny shimmer does not irritate my skin but it does tend to go everywhere if you run a hand over your cheek.
I will not recommend layering this highlighter too much because it may exaggerate any texture or pores on your skin. However, one layer is sufficient to provide a beautiful glow to the high points of the face. This product is also vegan and cruelty-free, which is a huge plus.
The only downside of this product is its price ($29 on the brand’s website and INR 2600 on Nykaa). You can get way more affordable highlighters, such as the Wet n Wild Precious Petals highlighter, at a much more reasonable price in India. Also, the shade Moondust is not available on Nykaa, but you can find the shade Starburst, which I feel will look quite similar to Moondust on Indian skin, only slightly more golden. Overall, if you are a sucker for cute packaging and are willing to spend on a highlighter then the Ciate London Glow-To Highlighter is an able contender for your shopping cart.
