Since most of us in India do not have bathtubs to whip up a lavish bubble bath, a beautiful handmade soap is what we can resort to for a luxurious bath experience. I was recently sent some wonderful handmade soaps by The Soap Factory, a brand known for its natural, eco-friendly, and handcrafted skincare. Read on to find out my thoughts on these soaps which are honestly so pretty that I almost felt guilty using them!
First of all, can we take a moment to appreciate the packaging of these soaps, it truly spells luxury in my opinion! I got a gift box which contains a set of 3 soaps and not only is the outer detailing of the cardboard box super stunning, even the individual packaging of the soaps is intricately designed, which is why I mentioned above that these soaps are almost too pretty to use!
I got three variants of the soap in the gift box – the Avocado Soap, the Pomegranate Soap, and the Oats and Honey Soap. Each of these bars is decently sized and weighs 125gms. The ingredients of each of these soaps are listed in the images below, but to summarize, each of these soaps contains a bunch of nourishing oils, such as extra virgin coconut oil, sunflower oil and castor oil. The Avocado Soap additionally contains Avocado Puree, which has healthy fats and vitamins that will make your skin supple and glowy. The Pomegranate Soap contains pomegranate extracts, french pink clay and peach fragrance, which makes it perfect for the summer months, because pomegranate oil has anti-microbial properties while french pink clay is an effective cleanser. The Oats and Honey soap contains cocoa butter, oats and honey, making it perfect for those with super dry skin, thanks to its gentle yet hydrating ingredients.
All of these soaps produce a decent amount of lather, but not too much. They are very gentle on the skin and leave it cleansed, refreshed, yet supple and hydrated post-bath. They do not melt quickly, which means that one bar will last you a long time, and they all have a pleasant fragrance which is not too overpowering or sickeningly sweet. The shelf life of these soaps is 1 year, which is great in case you plan to buy them in bulk.
Each soap bar is priced at INR 295, which may seem pricey, but for handmade soaps, this is a decent price, considering the size of the bars and the quality of the ingredients. If you are someone who becomes lazy when it comes to applying body lotion, these soaps will do the trick for you because they are very hydrating. They will make a fabulous gift for a loved one too! I highly recommend you to try these out if you are in the mood for a relaxing, luxurious bath.
