Despite so many international brands coming to India, it is still hard to find some of the cult skincare products in our country. I have been trying to get my hands on the celebrated Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Eye Cream since years, but it is not available anywhere without a whopping shipping charge. I finally settled for the Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Night Moisturizer instead, thinking that it will have somewhat similar ingredients (aka Retinol). I have been using this cream for over a month now and here are my thoughts on the product so far.
The Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Night Moisturizer comes in a silver grey bottle with a white plastic pump. I am assuming that it came with a cap to put on top of the pump which I lost, otherwise the packaging is a little unhygienic for storage, even though the pump can be locked to prevent accidental leakage.
Coming to the formula, this moisturizer has the consistency in between that of a cream and a lotion. It is pretty light-weight and sinks into the skin with ease, without leaving it greasy or sticky. The formula contains Retinol SA, an ingredient known to work wonders on wrinkles, along with Hyaluronic acid for hydrating the skin and making it plump. This duo of ingredients is hailed as a perfect combo for eye creams because it reduces fine lines and plumps up the dry skin.
When I first started using this moisturizer on my forehead and under eye area, it used to feel a little warm and tingly due to the presence of retinol in the formula, but now my skin has become used to it and does not tingle any more. While the product claims to provide visible results within a week, in the form of brighter and smoother skin and faded wrinkles, I feel that I have only started noticing a difference in my skin after using this product for 3-4 weeks. The fine lines under my eyes have become slightly less pronounced and the very fine wrinkles on my forehead have sort of disappeared. My skin is looking pretty bright these days too but that could be due to my entire skincare regimen and not this product alone.
In all probability, the eye cream from this range would have given me faster results in my under eye area but unfortunately, it is not available in India. To be honest, for the price of INR 1123, I was expecting faster results from this cream but I will still continue using it until I empty the bottle and will let you know whether it makes a more pronounced difference to my skin over the next couple of months. I still have some hopes from this product because it has made a slight difference to my fine lines, but I am no longer expecting miracles from this bottle. Let me know in the comments below if you have used this night cream or any other cream from this range and how it fared for you!

Anyway, retinol doesn’t give results in a week!! Nonetheless, even I am willing to give this a try. Nicely reviewed.
I think one day I’ll pick something like this up, but there’s so many different products out there currently…I’m sure more will come about in the future too!
