Summer is the season of face mists galore! Who doesn’t like a spritz of cooling hydration on a sweltering hot day? I know I do! Which is why I have stocked up on face mists, and today I am going to review the Plum Grape Seed & Sea Buckthorn Nutriplenish Face Mist for all of you. Read on to find out my thoughts on this product!
The Plum Grape Seed & Sea Buckthorn Face Mist comes in a plastic spray bottle and is available in two sizes – a 100ml full size bottle and a 30ml travel size bottle. The packaging is pretty basic but functional and the nozzle gives out an even spray of the mist, although I feel that the spray could be a wee bit finer, but that is just me nitpicking.
Coming to the formula itself, this mist contains a number of nourishing ingredients, such as grape seed and sea buckthorn oil, aloe, and floral extracts of hibiscus, edelweiss, and calendula. While the aloe and the floral extracts help in soothing and brightening the skin from within, the unique addition of grape seed and sea buckthorn oil in a mist formulation offer the nourishing benefits of these ingredients without the greasiness of oils. Grape Seed contains hydrating Vitamin E while Sea Buckthorn is rich in Vitamin C and anti-oxidants that repair the skin and replenish its glow. Needless to say, the formula feels extremely hydrating and soothing on the skin and the mist continues to moisturize the skin for at least an hour post application. The mist also has a refreshing floral scent, which I personally like, but if you have a very sensitive nose then you may want to sniff it before purchasing. Other than that, as always, the formula of this Plum product is vegan, cruelty-free and free of phthalates and parabens, and the price point of INR 360 is fairly reasonable for 100ml of product.
I personally feel that this mist is more suitable for those with dry to normal skin, and that is what the brand recommends as well. Due to the presence of so many nourishing ingredients, it feels a little heavy on my combination to oily skin, even though it does not feel greasy. It works really well on my husband’s dry skin though. I guess the name Nutri-plenish in itself explains that it is a nourishing face mist as opposed to their Green Tea Revitalizing Face Mist which will probably suit my combination, acne-prone skin more than this one. However, if you are in the market for a mist that is suitable for sensitive, dry to normal skin, that provides an extra boost of hydration then the Plum Grape Seed & Sea Buckthorn Nutri-plenish Face Mist will be perfect for you.
