You can find some skincare gems from Indie brands which can make the high-end skincare brands make a run for their money. Whenever I discover a skincare product that is affordable, clean, and from a homegrown brand, I feel elated and eager to share it with all of you. Suganda Skincare is one such brand started by an Indian mother whose quest for finding clean skincare for her child eventually lead her to study cosmetology and eventually launch her own skincare range. The Suganda White Lotus Moisturiser has received a lot of love from Indian bloggers and Instagrammers and for good reason. Here is what my experience with the product has been so far.
The brand philosophy of Suganda Skincare revolves around clean and effective ingredients. Even the glass packaging of their White Lotus Moisturiser speaks volumes about the conscious efforts put in by the founder Bindu towards making the brand as sustainable as possible. The tinted glass bottle comes with a pump dispenser which works perfectly well with the serum-like consistency of the product. The packaging is fairly travel-friendly and leakproof despite being made of glass.
Coming to the formula of the White Lotus Moisturiser, this product has the consistency of a milky white serum and has a soothing herbal scent that is not overpowering and is in fact quite relaxing. This moisturiser is oil-free, and therefore sinks into the skin without leaving any greasiness or shine. It calms down irritated skin right from the first application and provides mild hydration. I layer this product with a sunscreen in the morning and with a hydrating night cream at night for my combination skin, but if you have oily skin then this should work well for you as a stand-alone moisturiser too.
What sets this product apart is its blend of skin-loving ingredients, particularly White Lotus and Niacinamide, which are known to reduce pigmentation, sun-damage, acne and wrinkles. I was really impressed to see that this moisturiser visibly brightened my skin and evened out my skin tone within just a few weeks of use. It lightened my acne marks and the dark patches on my skin due to sun exposure. My skin looks like it is lit from within ever since I started using this product and I haven’t experienced any acne other than the hormonal breakouts which are inevitable for me every month.
I am always on the hunt for skincare products that make me confident enough to step out for an event without any base makeup on my face. The Suganda White Lotus Moisturiser is definitely helping me move towards this goal at a steady pace by making my skin look clearer, brighter and healthier each day. The price point of INR 750 for a 60ml bottle seems justified to me. Do try out this product, I am sure you will not look back 🙂
