The Simple Kind To Skin Micellar Cleansing Water is a product that has received much love ever since its launch in the UK. This micellar water claims to remove all traces of makeup while being gentle and nourishing to the skin. Now that Simple skincare products are available in India on Nykaa.com, I had to test it out. So have I finally found a dupe for my favourite BioDerma micellar water? Read on to find out!

The Simple Kind To Skin Micellar Cleansing Water comes in a 200ml white frosted bottle with a flip lid. The product inside looks and feels exactly like water and does not have any peculiar smell. If you drench one cotton pad with this cleansing water, it will be sufficient to remove an entire face of heavy makeup. My acid test for any makeup remover is with waterproof mascara, and this one removes waterproof mascara and the Maybelline Hyper Curl Mascara that I complained about in a recent blog in a jiffy! One soaked cotton pad removes liquid lipstick, mascara, and heavy duty foundation, leaving the face squeaky clean and residue-free.

This is one of the few makeup removers that leave the skin so clean that you can probably get away without a double cleanse, but it is good to go in with a face wash after this for good measure. However, even if you do not go in for a second cleanse on a lazy day, your skin will not feel clogged or dry after using this cleansing water. It leaves the skin feeling hydrated and clean, which makes it quite similar to the BioDerma micellar water, at a fraction of the price (INR 375 for 200ml).

What is also fascinating is that this product contains skin-loving ingredients such as Vitamin B3 and Vitamin C. While I am not sure whether these ingredients make a difference in a makeup remover, it is commendable that the brand puts so much thought into its products despite them being so affordable. The product is also free of alcohols, parabens, artificial colours and fragrances and animal derived ingredients. Therefore, this product is suitable for all skin types, and is a great option for those with extremely sensitive skin.

If you have been following my blog since a long time, you might know that Bioderma is my holy grail makeup remover. This product, however, has managed to impress me as much as Bioderma and I am super happy to have finally found an alternative to my fave product.
