Body butters can be tricky in the warmer months, while your skin needs to be moisturized, you do not want something heavy to clog your pores or feel greasy in the humid weather. I personally prefer body butters that are nourishing but not too thick, which get absorbed by the skin quickly yet leave it hydrated for a long time. A recent discovery that fits this description is the Biobloom Water Lily Body Butter which I received in a subscription box. Read on to find out my thoughts about the product.
The Biobloom Body Butter comes in a jar with a screw on lid that allows easy scooping out of the product. The texture of the body butter is only slightly thicker than that of a body lotion and it has a very faint aqua-floral scent which is quite gender neutral. The product glides easily on the skin and does not crumble up or leave a white cast like some thick body butters. It gets absorbed by the skin within a minute or two and leaves behind only a nourishing layer of oil which won’t seem heavy unless you live in a very humid area.
The product contains a ton of nourishing ingredients, such as Shea Butter, Jojoba Oil, Aloe Vera Extract and Vitamin E, and makes the skin feel healthy and supple from the first use. I use this product at night and when I wake up in the morning, my skin feels soft and smooth but not greasy. The formula is also free of parabens, petrochemicals and synthetic fragrance, which makes it suitable for even sensitive skin.
The only possible con of this body butter is its price (INR 799 for 200gms), but body butters in general seem to be more expensive these days. If you are looking for something that is slightly more nourishing than a body lotion but not too thick or cakey then the Biobloom Water Lily Body Butter is definitely worth a try if you are willing to invest in it!
This body butter looks really good, but I think that the quantity is way too low for the price. But it works, so definitely an investment. Great post!
