This summer, I am gravitating towards all skincare products that are cooling, hydrating and refreshing. Luckily, I received a sample pack of the Ilana Organics Reviving Moisture Mask in a subscription box and it checked all the right boxes for me. Ilana Organics is a skincare brand that uses all natural and sustainably sourced ingredients in their products. Their skincare range is paraben-free and sulphate-free and is devoid of any toxins. Their Reviving Moisture Mask is no exception, and here is what the brand has to say about it –
“Open yourself to intense hydration in a jar. Ilana Organics high performance fruit based face masque unveils smooth, glowing, dewy skin within just five minutes of application. With the goodness of pomegranate and camellia, this face mask has skin calming properties that soothes, hydrates and keeps the skin fresh.”
This face mask contains Camellia to protect the skin, pomegranate oil to prevent wrinkles and sagging, grapeseed oil for treating acne and tightening the skin and aloe to hydrate and soothe the skin. It comes in the form of a green cream that spreads easily on the skin, it does not dry up on the skin like a clay mask and remains liquidy throughout the wear time. Therefore, this mask is perfect for those with dry, sensitive, or irritated skin. It smells a bit funky, like seaweed, but this means that the brand has not added any artificial fragrance to mask the natural scent, which is another plus for sensitive skin. The mask provides an instant drink of moisture to the skin and feels very gentle and cooling on the face. You need to rinse off the product after 5 minutes and will be greeted by healthier looking skin which looks well-nourished. This mask will not make a striking difference to the external appearance of your skin but it will feel healthier from within, especially after repeated usage.
The only possible downside of this mask could be the price, which is INR 950 for a 50gm jar, but to be fair, a little product does go a long way. I feel that the best way to describe this mask is that it is something similar to a deep conditioner but for the skin. If you are someone with extremely dry or sensitive skin then this product can work wonders for you by repairing the skin and making it smooth and hydrated.
