I have already reviewed the Nykaa Salon Gel Nail Lacquers on this blog, but I had only purchased dark and bright shades from the range till now. This time, I went for a nude peach shade called San Fran Mood (209) and since the formula of lighter shades can be different from those of the brighter shades, I decided to review it for all of you. Read on to check out my thoughts about this nail paint!
This nail paint is a beautiful nude peachy colour that will suit fair to medium skin tones. The formula is similar to that of the other nail paints from this range, however, since it is a light shade, it doesn’t become opaque in one coat. If you have healthy nails that do not have any yellowing then one coat will provide a sheer wash of peachy colour that will add shine to the nails and will make them look healthy. Two coats make the colour semi-opaque and I personally like this effect for daily wear. Three coats make the colour completely opaque and then it looks like a pretty pastel peach.
If you apply 3 coats on your nails then the polish won’t chip for a good 6-7 days, but with 2 coats you will notice some chipping by the 4th day. Another issue with this shade is that if you eat with your hands and use turmeric in your food then the colour will stain unless you wash it off immediately.
Overall this shade is a beautiful peachy nude for the spring which will also bring out a sunkissed tan during the summers. I haven’t seen such a shade from any other Indian brand till now so I am definitely gonna keep this one handy. Also, the price point of INR 325 may seem steep but these nail paints are usually available on a discount on the website and also, the formula doesn’t dry up in the bottle for years, so you can get a lot of wear out of them. If you are looking for a nice nude nail paint for the warm weather then I highly recommend San Fran Mood!
