As I mentioned in my previous post, I picked up a bunch of goodies from Colourpop during their holiday sales, so today I will be talking about yet another lip product – the Colourpop Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick in the shade Bumble. I picked up the shade Bumble because Mehak from peachesandblush.com mentioned on her Insta stories that this shade was her fave. I am happy to report that I have fallen in love with this shade too. Read on to find out more about this liquid lipstick!
The ColourPop Ultra Matte Lip is the brand’s mattest formulation of liquid lipstick, and the world has divided opinions about this product due to this very fact. Personally, I am usually fine with super matte liquid lipsticks, and I didn’t find this one uncomfortable to wear. This liquid lipstick has super intense pigmentation and dries down completely within seconds. I like that this formula does not exaggerate the lines of the lips to a huge extent, despite being completely matte. True to its claims, it stays put on the lips throughout the day and does not transfer at all unless you eat something oily.
Many people complain that the Sugar Smudge Me Not Lipsticks crack or flake on their lips and fade very unevenly after eating oily food, while the ColourPop Ultra Matte Lip has a similar matte formula, I do not face this issue with it and it fades evenly even after eating oily food.
The shade Bumble is a unique and pretty peachy nude which has brick red undertones. This is a universally flattering shade that will work as a reddish nude on fairer skin tones and will look more peachy on deeper skin tones. It also has slight hints of pink in the colour which prevent it from looking too orangey. I personally do not own a shade like this and was happy to pick up such a unique shade that will go with a ton of different looks. The doe foot applicator helps with precise application, which is a little difficult otherwise with bright colored liquid lipsticks.
Overall, if you are someone who doesn’t mind matte liquid lipsticks and regularly scrubs and mositurises their lips then I am sure you would like the Colourpop Ultra Matte Liquid Lipsticks and I highly recommend the shade Bumble for all Indian skin tones. The price of $6.50 won’t burn a hole in your pocket either. I highly encourage all liquid lipstick lovers to jump on the Ultra Matte Lip bandwagon 🙂
