Organic Harvest Happy Lips – Green Tea | Lemon Oil Lip Balms | Review

Posted on December 31, 2018December 28, 2018 by Mrinalini

If there is one Indian brand that makes excellent lip balms, it has to be Organic Harvest. With winter at its peak across India, lip balms are absolute saviours for me, and I have stocked up on a number of different variants. I have already reviewed the Organic Harvest Happy Lips lip balm in the Pomegranate variant on the blog, but in case you missed that, here is my review of the Happy Lips Green Tea and Lemon Oil variants from Organic Harvest.

First of all, I cannot get over the cute, colourful packaging of these lip balms, and as I have mentioned earlier on this blog, dome shaped lip balms are the most convenient in terms of application for me. The Green Tea variant comes is a nice minty green shade and the Lemon Oil variant is a bright lemon yellow. Who wouldn’t want to carry these beauties in their handbag?

Coming to the formulation of these lip balms, both green tea and lemon oil are new lip care ingredients for me, but they do work really well! I personally love the Green Tea lip balm slightly more – it has a soothing and sweet green tea scent and is extremely hydrating without being waxy or greasy. I apply 2-3 coats of this lip balm to keep my lips moisturised all night long. During the day, I apply a layer of this lip balm when I start applying my makeup and blot it with a tissue paper right before applying my lipstick to make sure that this balm does not move my lipstick around.

The Lemon Oil variant also has a similar texture to the Green Tea variant but with a refreshing lemony scent. However, I somehow find the green tea variant to be slightly more hydrating. Both these lip balms add a subtle shine to the lips and since I use these during both the day and night, I like that they are not tinted. The brand does have a couple of tinted lip balms in this range as well in case you are a fan of coloured lip balms.

These lip balms provide a ton of nourishment to the lips and can reverse extreme chapping and dryness. They contain a ton of hydrating ingredients such as Organic Lanolin, Organic Squalane, Shea Butter, Olive Oil & Jojoba oil which help to repair severely chapped lips. They make the lips smooth and supple and protect them from the harsh cold and dry weather. Priced at INR 199 each, these lip balms are absolute essentials for me and they are easy on the pocket too. Do grab a few for the cold winter months, I am sure you will love them as much as I do!
