With Nykaa bringing new international brands to India every week, it gets a little hard to keep up with all the new products that are up for grabs. One of the recent brands that have jumped on Nykaa’s bandwagon is Aveda, and their Invati Advanced Thickening Hair Conditioner caught my attention instantly. Read on to find out if this product worked wonders on my hair or not!
The Aveda Invati Advanced Thickening Conditioner is a part of the 3-step Invati Regimen for thicker, fuller hair that consists of an exfoliating shampoo and a scalp revitalizer, along with this conditioner. I got minis of the shampoo and revitalizer free with my purchase, so for the first couple of uses, I used the three products together as recommended by the brand. Even though I used the shampoo only a couple of times, it felt light-weight yet cleansed my scalp really well, leaving a good amount of volume at the roots. As for the scalp revitalizer, it has a consistency somewhere between that of an oil-based serum and an alcohol-based spray. It does feel extremely nourishing on the scalp and does not leave the roots looking greasy, but if you have super fine hair like mine, it will weigh them down.
Coming to the full-sized product that I actually intended to review, the Advanced Thickening Conditioner has a strong herbal scent that lingers and is made up of essential plant oils that are supposed to make the hair thick and voluminous. It does not feel heavy on the hair and does a great job at making them smooth and soft without weighing them down. My hair looks healthier and more full of life ever since I started using this product. The conditioner adds shine to each strand of the hair and does make them slightly thicker too. However, you need to be careful about how much product you use, if you use more than a small dollop then it will weigh down your hair to a slight extent.
Overall, I am quite impressed with the conditioner because it truly makes my hair look thicker and bouncier at the same time. The shampoo and scalp revitalizer are good too but I won’t be picking up the full sizes of those two because I think I can find similar products at a lesser price. The conditioner is quite expensive too, at the price of INR 950 for a 40ml tube, so I may save this one for the days when my hair needs extra help. If however, you are willing to splurge on haircare and want some help with fine and limp hair then the Aveda Invati Advanced Hair Thickening Conditioner could be the product you are looking for!
