Hello Girls 🙂 I know we all love our nude lipsticks but at times you want to go bold. Fall and winter are the seasons to wear a gorgeous deep shade like this one. Packaging: Talking about the packaging, this lipstick also comes in a shiny silver bullet as most of the Maybelline lipsticks do. The colour of the cap is transparent and blue-hued.

Shade: The colour seems a deep burgundy in the tube, looks a deep red with plum undertones in the swatch and develops into the perfect deep wine red on the lips.

Pigmentation: The pigmentation of this lipstick is superb right from the first swipe. It gives full-colour payoff. If you want to tone down the colour, I would suggest you get some product on your finger and dab it on the lips. This way it gives the perfect just-bitten natural look.

Texture and Finish: The lipstick has a velvety texture and a beautiful formula. You can easily wear it in cold climates without worrying about your lips drying. On application, it is creamy in texture while it settles down into a matte finish a few minutes later. I really do not like extremely matte lipsticks as they look really flat hence I prefer a creamy matte formula like this one.

Staying Power: It easily stays for 5 to 6 hours on the lips if you do not eat anything oily, any lipstick would break up in that case. However, it does leave a deep stain on your lips so you are not left with bare lips.

My thoughts on the product: What I think is that this would make for the perfect lipstick for the holiday season right now. I actually got it randomly while shopping for some makeup at Lifestyle and later I got one for my mom too. We both love it in our own ways. While she uses it all the time, I like wearing it as a stain with smudged kohl eyes. It is a very budget friendly lipstick too, so you must give it a try and it would also make the perfect gift for your mom.
