I have known about the COLAB Dry Shampoos ever since their launch in the UK, thanks to the brand’s association with famous YouTuber Ruth Crilly, and its fab reviews by Zoella. I was happy to notice recently that the brand is finally available in India, and at decent prices too! I picked up the Extreme Volume Dry Shampoo from the range that comes in a black spray can, because you all know, your girl can do with some volume in her hair! Here are my thoughts after using this product.
The COLAB Extreme Volume Dry Shampoo claims to provide an instant lift and body to the hair, and I am happy to report that this product actually lives up to its claims. The formula comes out in the form of a white powder that sucks up all the greasiness of the hair and provides texture and volume that lasts for at least two days. Once you work the product into your hair, it does not leave a white cast. The only downside of this product is that it provides a lot of texture to the hair, which is nice if you have fine and limp hair to begin with, but can also make your hair rough to the touch, so you may have to be careful with how much product you use in one go. It also has a strong perfumey scent that may irritate you while application, but it does not linger in the hair.
Overall, this product reminds me a lot of the Batiste XXL Volume Spray, which is one of my favourite volumizing sprays. The COLAB Extreme Volume Dry Shampoo is perfect for those with limp hair and greasy roots, if they want a ton of extra volume and a decent amount of hold in their hair. While it will take away the shine and make your hair look slightly rough, I am personally fine with it because it literally gives the illusion of double the volume at my roots. Priced at INR 629 for a 200ml can, this product is a must buy in my opinion, and you can get it for even cheaper on some online shopping sites like Myntra. Have you tried anything from COLAB yet?
