Has the monsoon humidity clogged up your pores yet? Yes? Time to stock up on some clarifying face masks and the one that I am loving lately is the Plum Green Tea Clear Face Mask. While I do love all my charcoal face masks, I sometimes feel that they are a bit too strong and a bit too trying to be used too often, which is when I reach for this product instead. Read on to find out my thoughts on the product.
This face mask has the signature green tea scent of the Plum green tea range. The formula is in the form of an extremely smooth and creamy mud mask. It glides on the skin and instantly provides a soothing, slightly cool sensation. For a detoxifying mask, this one is pretty mild, even though it clarifies the skin really well, making it perfect for those with slightly sensitive skin.
I leave this product on for almost 10-15 minutes, and by this time the mask dries up completely like a mud mask should and feels slightly “stretchy” on the skin. Upon washing off the product, my face looks visibly brighter and glowy and completely non-greasy.
What I love about this product is how gentle it is despite being able to pull out all the gunk from my pores. After a tiring day, it pumps back some life into my skin while calming it down and is also an excellent product for prepping the skin for a special event where you want to glow from within. The formula contains clay to soak up the excess oil, glycolic acid to exfoliate and brighten the skin, and green tea extracts to control acne – a perfect concoction for my skin type which is combination to oily and acne-prone.
Priced at INR 490 for a 60 gm jar, this product is quite affordable for what it does and is something that I am thoroughly enjoying in the humid weather. If you are someone who does not prefer masks that tingle and stretch the skin too much, I am sure you will love this one. Also, the fact that it is a vegan, cruelty-free product makes me favour it over others that are not. A must-have for the monsoons in my opinion!
this pack definitely looks promising for my oily skin😊
This sounds awesome and I love green tea in products!
This does sound good. I might get one!
If you are looking for sheet masks also, you should try caffe latte mask that I’ve been using for weeks. Have a great day!
Thanks for the recommendation!
I am using this for two months. It does make skin smooth and glowing for a little while. I have been using this on my sensitive, oily, acne prone skin. I am not quite sure how it’s working on my acne. But I use this only once a week as recommended. I do agree that it is easier and faster to use than charcoal face mask. (CFM is more better in a way but it takes time and effort). This one is quick and effortless.
