Nykaa has recently released a LARGE number of products and it is becoming extremely hard even for the beauty bloggers to keep up with their releases. However, I did manage to get my hands on one product from their new launches that I knew that I would finish up for sure, and obviously, it had to be a kajal. The latest addition to their range of kajals is the Nykaa Eyem 24/7 Kajal which I have been trying out for you guys over the past few days.
This kajal is a smudge-proof, waterproof, jet black kajal that comes in a twist up packaging. It fares really well in the pigmentation department and does stay on the eyes for a long time (7-8 hours) when used on the waterline or as an eyeliner. In terms of pigmentation and final look, this kajal reminds of the Plum kajal but this one is a fraction of the price (INR 299), making it the more affordable buy. However, I feel that it is slightly harder than the Plum kajal and does tug at the waterline a little bit during application.
I also have mixed feelings about this being a twist up kajal. I tend to prefer the old school pencil versions because I notice that the twist up variety often breaks. In fact, a small chunk of this kajal also broke off while I was swatching the product on my hand. Also, Nykaa has added a pink rubber grip to the pencil for better hold but to be honest I feel that it would have been as easy to use without the grip but the pink accent does make the pencil look cooler.

Overall, this eye pencil does live up to its claims of being long-lasting and budge-proof. I also like that the formula does not irritate my sensitive eyes, which is pretty rare for me. So if you are looking for an affordable Kajal that stays put all day long then you must give this one a shot. I am sure you will love it if you do not mind twist-up pencils.
Thank you, I was looking for an ‘honest’ review from a blogger rather than simply endorsing this kajal. Keep it up 🙂
