Matte pink lips are probably one of the most popular looks for daily wear, they complement most outfits and are work appropriate too. The Revlon Colorbust Matte Balm in the shade Elusive provides the perfect pink matte finish to the lips without being too uncomfortable to wear.
The product is marketed as a matte balm, which means that it is smoother and more moisturizing than a matte lipstick. The balm has a minty scent as well as a slight tingling sensation on the lips, quite like lip plumping products although it doesn’t make my lips any fuller. Do not be fooled by the word “balm” because, unlike most balms, this product provides great color payoff which is completely opaque in one swipe. The shade Elusive is a pretty blue toned pink which is a bit too light for my medium skin tone but would look amazing on lighter skin tones in my opinion. Be wary of the fact that the color does look darker in the packaging as compared to on the lips.
Personally, I find this formula to be very unforgiving when it comes to pigmented or chapped lips, it exaggerates all the lines and cracks on my lips :(. I recommend scrubbing and moisturizing your lips before applying this product so as to prevent creasing. The color lasts on my lips for a good 4-5 hours and does not transfer much on eating or drinking. Revlon Colorburst Matte Balms are available in 8 different shades in India which are all perfect for different Indian skin tones. A 2.7 gm crayon is available for INR 950 which I feel is a good price for a matte lip product and I would suggest giving this range a shot.
