Eclat UV Hydra Lite Sunscreen | Review

Is there such a thing as too many sunscreens? Not in my book! I usually prefer to wear chemical sunscreens but I know that a lot of you prefer physical sunscreens. This is why I have been testing out the Eclat UV Hydra Lite Sunscreen over the past few weeks. So, let’s jump right into it. Here are my thoughts on the texture, formulation and efficacy of this product.

Eclat Coupon Code – MRINALINI

The Formula

The Eclat UV Hydra Lite Sunscreen is a physical sunscreen that has a creamy consistency. It contains zinc oxide, titanium oxide and silica along with a bunch of interesting ingredients. These interesting ingredients include hydrating ingredients as well as antioxidants, such as Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin C, Niacinamide, Olive Oil and Shea Butter. The brand has provided a full ingredient list on their website and packaging, which is quite useful. This sunscreen contains SPF 50++, and since it is formulated by a pharmaceutical brand, I trust this rating.

List of Ingredients – Zinc Oxide, Triethoxycaprylylsilane, Titanium Dioxide, Silica, Dimethicone, Vitamin C, Niacinamide, Hyaluronic acid, Biosaccharide Gum-4, C12-15 alkyl benzoate, Caprylic/capric triglyceride, cyclopentasiloxane and Dimethicone cross polymer, Olive oil, Shea butter, Xanthan Gum, Sodium Gluconate, Benzophenone-4, Black seed oil, Silicone Base.

The Texture Of The Eclat UV Hydra Lite Sunscreen

The Eclat UV Hydra Lite Sunscreen has a creamy consistency and spreads easily on the skin. Since it is a physical sunscreen, it tends to pill a little if you rub the product into your skin. To prevent the pilling, dot the product on your face and pat it in with short strokes. The cream settles to a matte finish on the skin but still feels quite hydrating and soothing. It does not feel heavy on the face even after several hours of wear, unlike some other physical sunscreens that make my pores feel clogged. I also love that the sunscreen has a mild fragrance that is not overwhelming at all. Additionally, it is water resistant, which is a plus if you sweat a lot or like to indulge in water activities.

Does The Eclat UV Hydra Lite Sunscreen Leave A White Cast?

The Eclat UV Hydra Lite Sunscreen does leave a slight white cast on my skin. However, on my NC35 skin tone, this white cast is not too prominent. After half an hour of wear, you cannot really make out the white cast on my skin from a distance and it gets completely concealed under makeup too. If you are fairer then me then you won’t face an issue with the white cast. If you have a deeper skin tone, it will show up on your face if you don’t wear foundation on top. I personally do not mind the white cast of this formula on my skin tone.

Where To Buy The Eclat Sunscreen?

You can purchase the Eclat UV Hydra Lite Sunscreen from the brand’s official website (click here to buy). The product is originally priced at INR 990, but with my coupon code MRINALINI you can get 20% discount. The sunscreen is slightly pricey but with the discount, it is worth checking out if you are looking for a light-weight physical sunscreen.
