The Flower Beauty Miracle Matte Liquid Lipsticks are some of the most raved about liquid lipsticks in the market. I was recently sent one of these lipsticks by the brand in the shade English Rose, which I was super excited to try out because of all the great things I had heard about the product. After using it on multiple occasions, I have fallen in love with the formula, and I feel that there are a few tricks to getting the best results with this lipstick. Read on to find out how I use this product for the most opaque and long-wearing results.
Before getting into the details of the formula, let us take a moment to appreciate the packaging of this lipstick. The Flower Beauty Miracle Matte Liquid Lipsticks come in clear tubes with beautiful golden lettering, and the clear tube allows easy identification of the shade. It also has a stunning flower pattern on the tube which pictures cannot do justice to. The tube is also heavy and sturdy and looks very high end. It has a white screw-on cap with a doe-foot applicator which hugs the lips for precise application, and the wand is quite flexible, allowing for easier application of the product.
The formula of this lipstick is quite velvety matte, it glides on the lips with ease and provides opaque pigmentation in one swipe. In terms of texture, it is somewhere in between a liquid lipstick and a moussey lip cream – it feels comfortable like a lip cream but has the longevity of a liquid lipstick. The one trick that I had to figure out while using this formula was that you have to apply a very thin layer of this product on your lips and should not layer up the lipstick. The first time I used it, I tried applying two layers, but the second layer moved the first one, making the lipstick patchy. Ever since then, I have started applying a very thin layer of the product to my lips and have not experienced any patchiness on my lips.
Another trick is to let the lipstick set on your lips completely before you purse them together. The formula moves around quite easily until the lipstick dries on your lips, so you have to wait for a good 5 minutes smacking your lips together. Once the product sets on your lips, it will last you for around 6-8 hours without budging at all and it feels so lightweight and non-drying on the lips that you will forget that you are wearing a lipstick. The product will, however, come off if you eat something oily, but I tried to reapply it to the centre of my lips after eating an oily lunch and had no issues in touching up just that part.
Coming to the shade range of this lipstick, there are 12 shades of this lipstick to choose from on Nykaa.com, which range from muted nudes to deep berries and a stunning dark grey. I got the shade English Rose, which is a muted dusty pink that can be a tad bit too light for my skin tone with certain makeup. It looks good on my NC 35 skin tone with a smokey eye makeup look or with a deep mauve liner underneath and can be used as a cream blush too. For NC 35 to NC 42 skin tones, I will recommend Rosewood and Soft Berry as deep nudes and the shades Fig Frenzy and Dark & Stormy if you are looking for bolder, vampier colours.
Overall, I now understand why the Flower Miracle Matte Liquid Lipstick is so highly praised by every beauty blogger.
