When the Tarte Shape Tape Concealers hit the market, everybody went gaga over them. Then, in true Makeup Revolution style, the brand released their Conceal and Define Concealers, which are supposed to be dupes of the beloved Shape Tapes. While I haven’t tried the Tarte Shape Tape Concealers yet, I did purchase the Makeup Revolution Conceal and Define Concealer from Nykaa.com a while back and here is what I think about it.
Shadewise, Makeup Revolution has done a good job and there are 15 shades available on Nykaa. Unfortunately, the yellow toned medium shade that I was looking for (C8) was out of stock on the website, so I went with the peachy toned medium shade (C9) instead. This particular shade is a little too light for my skintone but it does brighten my under eye area beautifully, I can also use it to cover up my blemishes provided I use a bronzer and the right shade of foundation over it. I would definitely love to pick up my exact match in this range for my blemishes next.
Overall, I love the pigmentation, blendability and light-weight texture of the concealer despite the full coverage that it offers. The price point of INR 695 feels pretty justified considering the quality and the stunning packaging. I will definitely be playing with more shades from the range soon and will try and compare it to the Tarte Shape Tape Concealer as well to let you know whether it is a worthy dupe or not. For now, I will just say that this is a great concealer indeed and is definitely worth the buy!
